My philosophy for training is simple; Strengthen the core, construct a body capable of completing functional exercises for everyday activity, increase endurance!


My favorite client story

I had a male who had recently had a heart surgery (June 2011). He was barely able to complete more than 5 reps on a multiple of activities, and had no endurance, and no core strength. My first priority to was take it slow and get his core strengthened. He trained 3 times per week with me, and we covered full body exercises each time. I challenged him to his own cardio on the off days. Now, the biggest accomplishment, he no longer has any complications from the surgery. He held a plank for 14 minutes!! Talk about core strength!!

My favorite exercise

Definitely the plank. It helps to strengthen the lower back muscles. The plank can help to strengthen the rectis muscles, obliques, and the serratus muscles. An additional benefit is the increased shoulder stability.
