Fitness is more than what we do in the gym; it is a collective set of decisions, from how we think of our bodies, what we put into our bodies, and how we work our bodies. I started JW Fitness with the idea of giving the most authentic fitness programs and consultation possible. I want to provide quality personal training to committed people looking to take themselves to the next level and see meaningful change in their lives. I take a holistic approach to changing the body, first working with you to shift the mental approach, creating new behaviors, and establishing a strong foundation. I am first a motivational coach, an inspirational and spiritual guide and from there, I guide you towards the best version of yourself.
My favorite client story
One of my previous clients was very interested in running a half marathon by Christmas 2017. He and I had only been working together for one month and he asks would I be interested in running with him and that he would sign us up. After training for a month, we both ran a half marathon with relative ease. I am happy that we both started the journey and completed it.

Change Your Mind. Change Your Body. Change Your Life. The mind houses the ideas that become thoughts. The body is the vessel which turns thought into action and through action come the realities that we live. So in order for us to do anything, we must train in that order. Mind. Body. Life.
My training experience
I started with no knowledge or idea of how far I could climb. I keep climbing every day, with the idea of learning and growing each step of the way. I challenge my mind and body in ways I could not have previously imagined. I want to impart what I've learned to so many others.

Jamaar has definitely been a crucial help in my fitness journey. I had moments of giving up, very insecure because I was not were I wanted to be but he never gave up on helping me in the gym and I’m in the best shape of my life now I can actually workout with confidence and on my own thanks to jamaar
I always believed that as a woman I have to avoid heavy lifting so I don't bulk up. Despite my hesitation, Jamaar showed me the proper techniques to work certain muscle groups. I was surprised by the results. I was able to build lean muscle and build my booty. Now I'm not afraid to add a little more weight to my set. Thank you for holding me accountable for my own health. Hands-down my favorite trainer :)
Before training with Jamaar, I had always been interested but intimidated by the idea of strength or weight training. I had always stuck to machines at the gym, not really knowing what other equipment to use or the best ways to use them. Jamaar started me out with the fundamentals and kept me challenged but also ensured that I understood the best ways to keep my body safe during training. I’ve never felt the dread of “having to work out” that typically comes before a fitness class and always look forward to the new exercises or routines in each session. His positive encouragement and understanding of my fitness goals really adds to the personal approach he brings to every session. Through his training and guidance, I’ve gained new confidence and appreciation for what my body is capable of accomplishing through fitness.
Jamaar is an amazing trainer! I came to him wanting to tone, but also increase my weight / size to feel more shapely and he created a workout regimen for me that did just that! I have abs now!!! lol I have more muscle definition in my thighs which gives me the stronger, shapely look I was wanting, I've never felt better! Not only b/c I look better on the outside but also b/c he pushed me to achieve my goal which makes me feel even better inside :) Thank you Jamaar, I highly recommend you!
