I’ve been interested in physical development since I was in middle school. I remember spending hours in my living room or basement doing endless pushups and sit-ups. My first “weights” were gallon water jugs. I was skinny kid. I was weak and a terrible athlete. I hated how I looked and how I felt, and I desperately wanted respect.
I found the weight room in high school and started training before or after work at my local YMCA. I tried every program I could find. One time, one of the female trainers had to lift a bar off me after I got stapled to the bench while bench pressing. I remember that embarrassment, but it drove me to get better. 6 years later, in 2012, I’d gained 60 pounds of muscle and lost 30 pounds of fat along the way. I could lift weights that I’d only dreamed of. I was stronger, healthier, and happier than I’d ever been. The journey continues today.
In college I began helping people transform their bodies and minds the same way I had, and I’ve been doing so ever since. Everyone wants to be lean and feel fit, but what about the other qualities you gain while working toward these goals? Discipline, resilience, focus, tenacity: these attributes, when applied to your life outside the gym, will revolutionize you. Physical fitness doesn’t just benefit you physically.
My priority is helping you learn the skills to take control of your physical well-being. Over the last 7 years, I've worked with law enforcement officers, weekend warriors, moms, dads, models, middle and high school athletes, and senior citizens. In addition to coaching, I also spent a few years in law enforcement and understand the unique needs and challenges of the tactical athlete.
If you don’t know where to start, shoot me a message and I’ll point you in the right direction. Take action.

As someone who has trained a clientele base consisting of everyday people all the way to professional athletes currently in the NFL, Mike is someone I would go to for advice and knowledge when my own didn’t suffice… It’s hard to let someone else train those you care about, but take it as a sign I would happily let Mike be in charge of my very own family’s well being.
Mike is great to work with!!! He is great at programming and knows what to set better than I do for myself! Very prompt with answering questions and extremely helpful.
Mike brings a wealth of education and practical experience to his client base. Whether you are preparing for a fitness-based competition, making sure you are prepared to do your job, or are simply looking to make lifestyle changes that improve your health and wellness, Mike will bring a professional approach that will allow you the opportunity to meet your goals. I started with Mike 5 years ago in Nashville in person. I have since been relocated away from Nashville and he continues to write my workouts remotely. He uses varying techniques so nothing gets too stale and evolves your program off your feed back to conquer your weaker areas. He pushes you to edge so that you come back for more, but never to the point where you are contemplating giving up. He's full of knowledge and very adaptive. Strong trainer and a good person. I would recommend.
Mike has not only been an insightful conversation partner who has pushed me to study different training modalities & authors, but he is one of the very few people who can work effectively with various populations ranging from elderly general population to tactical operations to aspiring young athletes.
I've trained with mike for over 5 years now. He does an excellent job of providing training programs that challenge me while providing enough variety to keep me motivated. I'm in better shape in my 60's than I was in my 20's.
My job requires me to be on-call 24/7 and travel often. Mike tailors my workouts around my schedule and what tools I might have access to. I highly recommend him.
