Hey everyone! I'm Cosmo and this is how I became a trainer. Orginally I started my professional career as a graphic designer, working as a freelancer. However, I hated being a graphic designer, and all of the jobs were unsatisfying. I needed to find a career that would leave me feeling rewarded after helping others. Looking around nothing was available in my field of graphic design so I took a job at High Exposure Rock Climbing and Ninja Warrior Gym. The longer I started to work there, the more I knew I wanted to pursue a career in personal training to help others. Soon an opportunity arised where I became the head Parkour Coach at the gym. As the Head Parkour Coach of 2 years, I learned the skills of one on one training and group training. I wanted to move out of the Parkour training, which I did, and began training Ninja Warrior for myself and training others. Ninja Warrior training got me into the best shape of my life. Shortly after I started training people in Ninja Warrior, but then I got a better opportunity at a local gym and started training people in weight training. Now 4 years into the fitness industry, I still love to continue to share my knowledge with other people and get people into the best shape of their lives.
My favorite client story
My favorite client story is Isabella. She had 4 month to get to her fitness goal of losing 30 lbs, before she went away to college. She was the most dedicated client I've had before coming 4 times a week for personal training and another 2 days a week training on her own. By the time summer ended, Isabella lost the 30 lbs and was ready to tackle her first year of college with newly found confidence. Isabella know longer a client of mine but we are still close friends.
My favorite exercise
My favorite exercise is rock climbing. It is very relaxing, like meditation but your working out at the same time. I love that it is a total body workout and it makes the time go by so quick you forget you are even working out.
My favorite quote
If you don't have a plan for pleasure, you will have pain.
My training philosophy
My philosophy to training is to create a judgement free and fun environment for my clients, while pushing them to their personal limits. I guarantee success to all of my clients that train with me, whether it’s accomplishing their fitness goals or getting them into better functional health. No matter how big or small their goals are, I always put my all into training each and every client, and I hope that all my clients do the same for themselves.
My training experience
First, I worked at High Exposure Rock Climbing and Ninja Warrior Gym for 2 years teaching: obstacle training, rock climbing, and parkour. For over 2 years, I have been working at a local fitness and doing freelancing training.
