After high school I was preparing to play college basketball, but I wanted to get stronger before I played at the next level. During the summer I frequented gyms with a goal of gaining muscle. It didn't work as I planned and it wasn't until I started to work in a gym and work with a trainer that I saw any results. This is when I started to study on my own and become more interested in how the body works. So I studied, got my NASM certification and used what I learned to put on 20 lbs of muscle. Eventually putting on 40 lbs of muscle while still keeping the explosiveness and quickness needed to play basketball. From this time on I knew that I wanted to help people reach their goals.
My training style focuses on what my clients want and need. If you say you want to lose weight, then that's whats going to happen, if you want to get better at a sport, you will noticeably get better. I keep my clients smiling. Working out should be fun. It's easier to get through tough workouts with a smile on your face and having time fly instead of wishing that the session was over. With any goal I also make sure my clients are trained to prevent injury, being injured is not fun and ultimately leads to more people giving up and not working out.

I began training with Pierre a couple of years ago. I have always been an avid runner, but after a few injuries, I decided to take a break from running. As a runner I was afraid of lifting weights since it may "make me too bulky" but Pierre taught me that this wasn't true. He taught me how to train properly and how to feed your body correctly. This was the key to why I've kept training with Pierre. He takes his time in explaining exactly how to do an exercise. After running for so long you're prone to injuries, so doing exercises correctly is important. Pierre not only took my fitness level to another level but he pushed me mentally. There were times I would want to give up but he gave me that push in order to finish. He made me stronger and more agile. His passion and dedication for fitness has made my love for fitness grow.
Pierre tailors my work outs to what’s realistic, pushing me to reach targets without asking me to attempt anything unrealistic. Integrating balance work into general strength training, he keep me stretched out and balanced. Pierre focuses on a broader sense of overall health, not increasing set weights at the expense of good form or ignoring a full range of muscle groups. He's also an engaged and intelligent conversationalist, while I'm recovering and waiting for the next set. I look forward to our next session, even as I know he's going to make me work hard.
Pierre is a great personal trainer, his sessions are always with different and dynamic exercises. He works both with the machines and with the weight of his own body. my conditioning improved a lot with him. He is excellent.
