Hi! My name is Mark Nelson. I live in Bend, Oregon and I’ve been training and helping people change their lives for over 20 years.
My love of fitness began in my home state of Colorado, where I found a passion for racing bikes and other outdoor extreme sports. When I started going to the gym I went to better my body and myself, to build strength and muscle, and to become more aware of how my body works at peak form. I started with cardio and basic body weight balancing movements like planks, sit-ups, push-ups, and pull-ups; over time I transitioned to weight-bearing movements, gradually increasing the resistance and weights as my form and performance improved. My body quickly transformed as I put on 20lbs of lean muscle. My endurance felt infinite. I could push for much longer periods of time and at an extremely elevated pace much more easily than ever before. I felt secure, strong, and unstopable in my new body. The best part was my performance in bike racing, and extreme sports exploded! My body felt amazing and my confidence increased. From then on, there was no turning back.
Of course, there were some injuries along the way, a few more serious than others, as will happen with extreme sports! But because of my training and conditioning, my body was able to recover quickly and easily. I wanted to share what I had learned with others, so I moved to Oregon and worked closely with a mentor, learning everything I could about proper training, form, safety, and protocol for myself and others.
For 20 years now I have been a successful certified personal trainer. I have trained hundreds of clients— celebrities, men, women, and kids—helping each of them reach their unique fitness goals. Whether you want to just feel better, build muscle, improve endurance, lose weight, recover and rehabilitate from an injury, or simply look your best, I can help. Even if you have never worked out before, I promise that your session will be fun, and I will guide you through it until exercise becomes second nature. If you want to tone or increase muscle, I will design an intense workout to help you build the body you desire. If you want to lose weight, I will guide you through a rewarding cardio workout to wake up and speed up your metabolism. Whatever your fitness goals may be, I’m here and would love to work with you!
We will train in a beautiful, semi-private studio near Culver City in Los Angeles. I’m certified in Super Slow strength training (High Intensity Strength Training), TRX (Total Body Resistance), H.E.A.T. (Hyper Efficiency Anatomical Training), ACE (American Council Of Exercise), and I’m CPR certified, as well. I consider myself to be an upbeat, funny, empathetic, and creative guy who loves meeting and working with new clients!
