About Mariusz

I am a founder of the Superb-Athlete Inc. based in Fort Worth, Texas. My career spans 35+ years of coaching and strength and conditioning training in both public and private settings. I hold BA degree from the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, Poland, Master degree in Sports Science from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, AL, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credential from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Currently I am preparing to defend my doctoral dissertation in March of 2023. I have coached hundreds athletes and ordinary clients of all ages and levels, including Olympic caliber players, in sports ranging from team handball, basketball, volleyball, swimming, water polo, rugby, football, through Cross-fit and bodybuilding. I am an expert in S&C program design and training. My philosophy developed over decades of field experience, continuous education combined with test trials and errors is simple but my methods are not. I train clients, selected based on an in-house developed compatibility system, to perform according to strict principles of dedicated practice. Most other programs train to gain speed, strength or whatever other qualities they may concentrate on but most of the time those improvements do not translate to field performance and therefore miss the mark. My system is not a typical cookie-cutter fitness trend or next best thing from the newsstand magazine. It is highly individualized regimen that requires my great design and guidance combined with your time, energy, and financial commitment. The training is YOUR training. Each exercise, repetition is YOUR exercise, repetition. Each meal or beverage is YOUR meal and beverage. You still get to live YOUR life but if you want to perform up to your true potential you need to commit and just do it without holding back and excuses. You will need to take risks, get out of your comfort zone and push the limits. The good news is that I will be with you along the way as your coach. You may feel nervous, a little scared or apprehensive but that's OK. The first step into your journey is always the hardest but you'll be happy you took it. I pride myself in taking on the most difficult and “lost cause” cases and transforming athletic/fitness under-performance into success stories. My athletes and life performance clients find themselves setting personal records in their respective ares of interest something that was often seen as impossible. I am just a phone call or click away from becoming your dedicated guide and partner...

My favorite client story

Too many to mention in this space but I am proud of their successes and happy to be of assistance.

My favorite exercise

I do not have a favorite exercise. I choose exercises after careful need analysis for each client and rotate or replace them as their impact diminish overtime. There is no wrong exercises, only incorrectly placed in the program and technically incorrectly executed.

My favorite quote

I have a few but one that I recall often goes like this:
"I can go fast and far even if I am little."
-Janet Evans, USA
swimming: 3 gold, 1988 Seoul; 1 gold, 1 silver
1992 Barcelona Olympics (She was 5 feet and 4 inches and 95 pounds in 1988 when she won 3 gold medals)

My training philosophy

Purposeful Preparation leads to positive results.
Protection from injuries does not take a day-off (optimal techniques, preventive measures, appropriate progressions).
Production means dedicated practice means quality over quantity and doing simple better every day to produce desired results.
Performance counts only on the field during competition and must be timed as well as consistent across season’s key competition events.

Coach Wartalowicz went above and beyond to help me become a better and stronger swimmer. He took into account all aspects of my life including my training history, practice schedule, and competition schedule. I highly enjoyed the time I worked with him and he played a large part in my decision to go into the strength and conditioning field as well! I would highly recommend that anyone train with Coach Wartalowicz if they have the opportunity to!

I worked with Coach Wartalowicz for two years through my high school swimming journey! He was an AMAZING coach who took the time to get to know me in order to help me train at my best. He was beyond knowledgable about training, specifically for swimmers and provided various strength and conditioning workouts to assist me in my swimming. I truly believe working with Coach Wartalowicz helped me in my success with high school swimming and moving to Division I athletics. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! If I can give him more than 5 stars, I would.
