About Jessie
Hey, I’m Jessie—the heart behind It Gets Better at HyperFit. I started this journey not just to help people get stronger physically, but because I know firsthand how movement, community, and mindset work together to save lives. In 2015, I lost my mom to breast cancer, and for a long time after, I felt completely broken—mentally, emotionally, and physically. Anxiety and depression took over, and I hit some of the lowest points in my life.
But what brought me back was therapy... and the gym. Movement gave me purpose again. Lifting weights helped me feel in control of something when everything else felt chaotic. Over time, I realized I didn’t want to just survive—I wanted to help others feel seen, understood, and supported through their own hard seasons.
That’s why I became a personal trainer in 2021. I spent time learning the ropes at a big box gym, where I eventually worked my way into a management position—but honestly, it never felt like me. I wanted something more human, more heart-led, and more personal. That’s how It Gets Better at HyperFit was born: a space where fitness and mental health coexist, and where clients feel like more than just numbers.
Today, I specialize in training clients who are navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, or just feeling disconnected from themselves. I believe in training that prioritizes mental resilience, functional strength, and real-life wins—not just aesthetics. Whether it’s through my customized programs, my 7-day Mind-Body Reset Guide, or my journal From Stressed to Strong, everything I create is rooted in the belief that fitness should be healing—not harmful.
I’m also a proud 1st Phorm Legionnaire and a big believer in using community, education, and consistency to build lasting change. I’m here to show you that you don’t have to have it all together to start—and that healing can begin with something as simple as one walk, one rep, one choice at a time.
