I’ve been interested in physical development since I was in middle school. I remember spending hours in my living room or basement doing endless pushups and sit-ups. My first “weights” were gallon water jugs. I was skinny kid. I was weak and a terrible athlete. I hated how I looked and how I felt, and I desperately wanted respect.
I found the weight room in high school and started training before or after work at my local YMCA. I tried every program I could find. One time, one of the female trainers had to lift a bar off me after I got stapled to the bench while bench pressing. I remember that embarrassment, but it drove me to get better. 6 years later, in 2012, I’d gained 60 pounds of muscle and lost 30 pounds of fat along the way. I could lift weights that I’d only dreamed of. I was stronger, healthier, and happier than I’d ever been. The journey continues today.
In college I began helping people transform their bodies and minds the same way I had, and I’ve been doing so ever since. Everyone wants to be lean and feel fit, but what about the other qualities you gain while working toward these goals? The college athlete that wants to get stronger and leaner and has plenty of free time to train is going to have a much different program then the business man is his 40s with the same goals but has 3 kids, works 50 hrs a week and coaches T-ball. They both will achieve that goals but get their in different ways.

Fitness is about balance. Overuse, nonuse, injury or even exercising the wrong way causes muscle imbalances. Imbalances cause pain and weakness that prevents people from progressing. With exercise, nutrition and manual therapies I can help you achieve balance and progress to reach your goals.
For most of my clients that do not have a specific expression of fitness/sport they are trying to achieve, I teach a Hybrid Training concept that teaches you how to eventually push 50 minutes of exercise into about 30 minutes. My goal is to teach proper exercise form and how to develop your own unique training system that YOU enjoy. Lastly, proper daily nutrition profile is critical to all people and is a cornerstone of all of my health, fitness and weight loss programming. I believe in using resistance training as a cardiovascular effect to also gain strength and endurance. From there, consistency of effort each and every week coupled with a sound nutrition plan and anyone can achieve any expression of health and fitness they desire.
