Annika currently works as a Physical Therapist in the North Center neighborhood of Chicago. She holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Hartford in Connecticut, where she played Division I soccer.
Prior to moving to Chicago, Annika ran a fitness studio with her family in her hometown of Portland, Maine. There, she found her passion for functional fitness and holistic health and wellness. Since moving to the Windy City, she has provided in-home personal training services to clients throughout the northern Chicagoland area.
In both her roles as Physical Therapist and Personal Trainer, Annika is committed to empowering her clients to live well in all aspects of their lives. She balances her comprehensive, integrative approach with gentle guidance, education and a sense of humor.
I have a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and Health from Miami University of Ohio and a Masters of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology from Michigan State University. I have over 10 years of experience training clients of all ages and abilities. Additionally, I am a Registered Dietitian with extensive experience working in the community and clinical setting. I strongly believe in the power of a balanced, whole food diet and regular physical activity. My sessions are organized, to the point, and tailored to your specific goals.
