My favorite client story
After the covid lockdown I got the priveledge of training two Marvel stunt actors. They came in with some specific goals that needed to be hit in order for them to get new roles after taking time off. After just weeks we started to not only see the aesthetic change they wanted, but I also got them moving better pain-free! Now they are back booking several roles and taking the industry by storm and it is awesome to know that I played a small role in that ;).

I love everything related strength training from heavy lifts to calisthenics, but if I had to choose one I would say pull-ups!

Witnessing the profound impact that fitness has had on me over the years. I realized that if individuals are only getting stronger in the gym during their fitness endeavors, they are missing out on the true transformation that comes from improving their health. The real transformation lies in improving your entire health continuum, which consists of your spiritual, mental, and physical health. I first started training with Termar after COVID lockdown. I had spent the last 30 years in group exercise classes (yoga, cross training, spin cycle) and had always felt comfortable with my fitness level. But during lockdown that all changed. Not just from the lockdown eating and lack of exercise - I was also going through menopause. I felt stiff and weak and out of shape. I hated the way I looked and felt but had no idea how to get back on track. So, I decided to try personal training. As a person who preferred to be an anonymous face among many, I was nervous about personal training. As an introvert, having someone focusing solely on me was anxiety inducing. But from the first session Termar always met me where I was, both physically and mentally. This included: -Adjusting his style to my needs and personality -Presenting strength training with the mindfulness of yoga practice -Answering all my questions and explaining things in an easy-to-understand way -Being patient (and teaching me to be patient) -Respecting my boundaries (I don’t weigh myself or take pictures and he didn’t force it) -Encouraging in a sincere way, not in a fake, over the top way -Pushing me when I don’t think I can do it, but listening to me when I know I can’t This allowed me to get comfortable and explore the benefits of strength training. At some point I started asking about calories and eating. That’s when I found he also does nutrition coaching. So, I decided to try that as well. I would hear people talking about macros and metabolism hacks and that sounded complicated and something I didn’t have time for in my hectic life. But Termar made the process easy to understand and implement. (And I still enjoy eating!) All of the tools he gave me have allowed me to work on myself physically, mentally and spiritually. Every day I feel stronger and more confident. If you are at the bottom of the mountain and trying to figure out where to start your climb, I cannot recommend a better sherpa!
I have exercised my entire life, but suddenly cardio just wasn’t cutting it. At fifty I put on a ton of weight and felt stiff, tired and old. Desperate, I gave personal training a try. I found Termar and it changed my life. I do both the physical and nutrition training with him. I feel twenty years younger. Maybe more. I love the way I look, and even better, I can run around play with my grandson on the playground the same way I played with my son!
After struggling with decades-old ACL injuries and back pain, Termar has transformed my physical capabilities beyond what I thought possible. My strength has increased fivefold, my knee stability is better than ever, and my back pain has vanished. At 44, I move through life with newfound confidence and ease, no longer hesitating to take on any physical challenge.
