I have always enjoyed participating in physical activities. Back then (in my early teens) I did not understand why I enjoyed them so much; but now I know - It's a great way to manage stress, weight and good health. After my two children started pre-school (now in college), I wanted to lose my pregnancy weight. I started out on a treadmill at home. I was out of breath within 10-minutes. I knew I had to keep working on my stamina. And, so I did! I just kept at it! My promise to me was to never make an excuse, unless there was a valid one! Fast forward 15-years, I'm still hooked on getting a good workout. Specifically, I'm passionate about core, balance, weight lifting, stationary biking and flexibility and mobility exercises. I regularly meet wonderful people with various fitness goals at the gym I go to. I get so impressed by their commitment to their workouts. I now train and share my knowledge and experience with exercise and nutrition with my clients. My clients range from older adults to middle school students; from clients who want to build muscle mass to ones who want to lose weight; from various backgrounds. My goal is to make my clients reach their goal...this is my reward and that is why I became a Certified Personal Trainer.

Yasmin is an excellent trainer. She is very knowledgeable. She takes time to get to know you before deciding on a workout plan and then designs it for your individual needs. She tries to build confidence. I highly recommend her.
I enjoyed working with her every week on achieving my personal fitness goals. She was very focused on ensuring that I completed each exercise with good form to avoid strain and injury. If there were any exercises that I couldn't do (because of shoulder problems, for example) she knew twelve other exercises that would achieve good results without causing pain. I've gone to the gym for many years, but spent most of my time doing cardio because it was easier than learning to use free weights. I was always intimidated by muscular guys who could lift huge weights, while I struggled to lift small dumbbells. Yasmin taught me how to have correct form and control while lifting, and I saw steady progress that enabled me to lift heavier and heavier weights. I quickly lost my intimidation, realizing that, thanks to her instructions, I knew what I was doing. It also became obvious that most guys on the gym floor have no idea how to lift properly and will suffer for it when they're older. Why was I ever intimidated?!? Yasmin is excellent at keeping her clients motivated with her upbeat, positive attitude. She will push you to do your very best (no slacking off!) but does so in an enthusiastic way. She is very personable, friendly, and encouraging, and genuinely cares about her clients. I highly recommend her as a personal trainer.
I highly recommend Yasmin! She has taken me so far in the last 8 months with yoga. Because of my back and neck, yoga was recommended by my doctor, but joining a yoga class was not a fit for me. I needed a trainer who could start me where I was, watch my form closely, making modifications to fit my needs yet still allowing me to get the full benefit. Yasmin is great at that. She’s creative and motivated to do what is best for me, continuously pushing me forward appropriately. If one thing doesn’t work, she tries something else, but she never gives up. She’s super positive and encouraging and has a beautiful nature about her that is of quiet strength. She smiles, she’s got a great sense of humor, and she gives me a hug after every session. She is very well planned out and organized and puts a lot of thought into what is best for me. She keeps a notebook where she plans out all my yoga sessions and tells me what each move is good for.
