Our first session we go through an extensive assessment that shows me how you move, your weaknesses and strengths and also shows you how I work. The big one from the first session is seeing how we work together! After the first session, I will be able to assess how the program can continue, working with your goals in mind.

I have a client who came to me after working out with 3 different trainers before hand. When we started she had been frustrated that she hadn't lost any weight and was not reaching any of her goals. She was ready to work hard!! It's been about a year now and she is happy with her results, she quit smoking, gave up drinking and makes fitness a huge part of her families life as much as hers. I also have to mention that she is a single mother with 4 children and always makes time to work out!!
My favorite exercise
Burpees!! They are the best full body work out while getting that heart rate up. The big 3 are very important- Squats, Bench press, Deadlift. We use these exercises in our everyday lives and never actually realize it.

My training philosophy
There is no quick fix, it takes time to build muscle and lose fat. I train to make sure the goals you achieve stay with you forever. Diets are just a quick fix to end up making you gain more weight. Think about it, the first three letters of Diet are "DIE". let's do this the right way!!
My training experience
I have been part of the fitness field for most of my life. Grew up playing baseball and track and field. Personal trainer and nutrition certified. I was a Fitness Manager and personal trainer at Fitness 19. I've owned my own company for 7 years now, called STRIVE to be FIT LLC, after training as an employed trainer for other companies. This past year we started a powerlifting team called Strive to be Powerful and love every minute of being in the fitness field.

I absolutely love working out with Justin. The boot camps he leads are fun but also challenging. The personal training sessions are even better. He designs unique work outs that fit me and my fitness needs. You can tell Justin is really passionate about what he does and that makes it so much more fun. He will explain exercises to you and let you know exactly what you are working and why it is important. You can also tell he really cares about his clients and helping them meet their fitness needs. He will help with nutrition plans and is flexible with schedules as well. Justin is just so motivating that it makes me want to push myself. I have never been more excited to work out. I actually look forward to my 6am works outs. Justin and Strive to be Fit are awesome!
When I moved to Austin in 2014, I was still recovering from a back injury. I had 5 months of physical therapy but was still dealing with chronic pain. By some miracle I found Justin and after one session he knew what I needed to do. Justin designed workouts to strengthen and heal my back. Three months after starting with Justin my back pain was gone! Justin not only helped with my recovery, but he's helped with my strength, endurance, and nutrition. His versatility makes him the ideal trainer for any level- as you grow and change, he works with you to keep you challenged and making gains. This isn't someone who can only to do the recovery side of it-- and this isn't a meathead who is going to load you up with weight and ask why you can't do it. Justin truly cares about YOU. He understands that fitness is a journey and he is there through the emotional work as well as the physical. I went from a back injury, to squatting 200+ pounds and losing 8% body fat. It hasn't been easy--there have been so many ups and downs, but Justin has kept me focused, calm, and believing in myself.
Justin is by far the best trainer I've worked with. He helped design a program for me to continue to make gains and compete in my first ever powerlifting meet! He was there to cheer me on too. He won't let you down as a trainer. He will help you achieve your goal no matter what it is. His knowledge is astonishing too. The boot camps are way fun too and will keep you motivated. Justin is absolutely fantastic. He definitely cares about his clients and makes workouts fun and entertaining-as much as I tell him I hate him every single time, and that's for the personal training sessions! You get top-notch expertise for the price, it couldn't be better. You know he works hard to help his clients reach their goals and modifies exercises weekly so it's always different. I think it is because he is so passionate about not only his goals for his clients, but their own concerns and goals that Strive is the best fitness path I have taken. He helps me work towards what I want to achieve and the support is there even when I'm not at the studio or in a bootcamp class.
It has been a fantastic experience thus far I'm already seeing results after a few weeks This is part of my weekly routine now. It's affordable and effective! I have been training with Justin for almost 3 months now and I absolutely love his workouts. I had a trainer before at Gold's gym but nothing compares to having the boot camps to workout and having Justin be readily available for every question I have. I love how he incorporates a lot of different workouts for all levels of fitness and it is certainly never boring!
