About Whitney

Hi, I’m Whitney, the owner of GirlPower Fitness. 

I founded GirlPower in 2015 because I care a lot about empowering women. I believe that when women are okay — because they are taking care of themselves, feeling loved, and recognizing their own worth — that ultimately, society will be okay. I think it starts and ends with women. 

Fitness is not the magic key to unlocking happiness in your life. But investing in the improvement of your health puts you in a better mindset and helps you make other healthy changes in your life.

What to expect when working with me:

--Tailored online personal training workouts. *These are NOT live zoom workouts. You do them on your own time and I check-in multiple times per week to keep you motivated and accountable.*

--Initial consultation call to get to know you and gather information to create the perfect plan.

--Health and fitness goal setting and accountability from a trainer who gets it and cares.

--Unlimited text messaging with me to answer any questions.

--Easy-to-use and robust mobile app where you can access all of your workouts, track progress, and more. The app even syncs with your Apple Watch or Fitbit to track progress!

--You’re working out on your own but I’m with you every step of the way!

I've been in the fitness industry since 1994. I taught group fitness from 1994-2015. In 2015, I also began doing personal training.

I am a 73 year old grandmother, and I cannot say enough good things about Whitney and GirlPower Fitness! I had back surgery 4 years ago and was cautioned over and over about not bending, twisting or lifting while recovering. I was so careful for so many months that even after I was fully healed I continued to be very cautious in my movements..I realized recently that I had become too sedentary and was feeling stiff and unbalanced. I attended Whitney's group classes at GirlPower Fitness before the pandemic and struggled with the pivot of going virtual and not having the same commitment level. I recently attended Whitney's R+R (Rest and Recovery) Class and it was amazing. After getting back into training, I was definitely feeling the grind on my muscles and Whitney guided a small group of us thru a full body self care routine. I am beyond thankful I found GirlPower Fitness! Back in October of 2021 I started looking for personal trainers (not in a gym setting since I have a medically fragile kiddo at home) who requires all customers/clients to be fully COVID vaccinated -- Girl Power Fitness does! After a few sessions with Whitney, her fitness philosophy gave me the motivation I needed to prioritize my work lunch hour on me (ie: getting stronger, better posture, and lose baby weight (from kiddo #3)).
