About Dave

Hi, I’m Dave, I'm a Personal Trainer in Annapolis and I've worked in a wide variety of training, coaching and leadership roles. I've been fortunate to work with hundreds of clients and live my passion. My goal is to empower, educate and inspire you to lead a strong, healthy and confident life. I keep it fun yet honest, realistic yet bold, and above all, results focused.


 


There is no "one size fits all" approach because everyone has different goals and dreams, baselines and timelines, and various life demands, so I coach based on the context of your life. In addition to training, I provide nutritional support, help you to develop healthy daily habits and behaviors and use a variety of strategies to ensure you take control and achieve outstanding results.


 


As an expert in Fat Loss and Functional strength training, the vast majority of my clients hire me for that. However, my programs and coaching are for anyone looking for real and sustainable ways to feel better, live better, and become happier, healthier and fit. I've spent the past 14 years and 30,000+ personal training sessions working with clients on their health and fitness goals, as well as trained over 30 trainers to become incredible at delivering results for their clients.

My favorite exercise

Personally, I enjoy performing barbell and dumbbell work.
But, my favorite exercises are irrelevant when it comes to my clients goals and needs - I pick exercises that make sense for the individual based on a variety of factors.

My training philosophy

I keep it simple, safe and effective. Above all, my training is client-centered. If they "hate" an exercise, I'm not going to keep revisiting it when there are hundreds of viable substitutes. I look at training as a lifelong endeavor, so it has to be fun, sustainable and results focused.

My training experience

I have completed over 25 thousand sessions over the past 12 years. I am certified through many of the best and accredited organizations - including specialties in corrective exercise, performance enhancement, sports nutrition, TRX and many others.
I have worked with athletes, stay at home parents, post-rehab patients, seniors and everyone in-between. I have been a featured speaker for local tv news channels and regularly attend fitness conferences. I can often be found reading up-to recent peer reviewed research - I know, it sounds dorky, but I love it.
