About Helen

It’s not about losing weight. WHATTTT, you say?

My goal with you as my client is not to help you lose weight, but rather, shift your focus to overall health and building daily strength. The reason is if we focus on things like lifting heavy, eating foods that work well with your body, sleeping enough, removing stress, taking walks and soon you will start to look and feel the way you always wanted to look!

Let’s work on feeling stronger and eating better and the rest will all fall in place. You’ll be a better mom, spouse, work colleague and look the best you’ve ever looked.

My coaching style is the enthusiastic cheerleader; I am not a drill sergeant and you never have to do anything you are uncomfortable with, although my workouts are going to push you outside your comfort zone. I am a highly energetic trainer and I love helping others achieve their fitness goals.

I'm constantly looking for new ways to improve my climbing and overall fitness. When I reached out to Helen, she gave me a simple plan both for working out and for improving my diet. To measure my progress, I started paying close attention to pull ups. I have never been able to do even one! After following Helen's routine of negative push ups, I could do one, two, and now I'm able to do at least 2 sets of 3 after a session of climbing. I've never seen such concrete results before, and it's really helped to motivate me to keep working! When giving me tips on starting to clean up my diet, Helen explained everything to me in a clear and easy way to help me understand. She even went the extra mile and said I could send her my meal logs for extra support, which really helped and now I'm able to keep up the habits she set up for me. You can tell that Helen loves what she does, and that totally rubbed off on me! Whether she was coaching me around climbing techniques, general fitness, or eating healthier, I became that much more motivated and excited. I highly recommend Helen!!

I've been working with Helen for a few months now and can honestly say she is kicking my a** and I'm loving it! The workouts are different every time and Helen makes sure to keep it tough but achievable. She's been a crucial part of me getting healthy and fit again.

I am the laziest, most out of shape, and indulgent person I know. I started working out with Helen because I’m about to turn 30 and figured it was time to start addressing the inevitable consequences of my lifestyle. Beginning a workout regimen was really tough, but Helen has made me feel supported and encouraged at every moment. I never feel judged or afraid, and in the months I’ve been working with Helen, I’ve gone from dreading exercise to actually enjoying it. Helen has helped me make a change that will change the course of my life, and I’m so grateful to her for that. I can’t recommend her enough!

She has been my trainer for sometime now and she has been absolutely amazing. I shopped around for personal trainer at my Gym, but I didn't have good chemistry and I did not like her teaching style. With Helen, I feel like I'm training with friend and also trust her knowledge and know-hows around all the workout she assigns me. I now train with her every week and it's been paying off big time. I have major shoulder injury that set me back a bit from swimming and she has been working with me to strengthening around injury as prescribed by physical therapist while making them fun. I couldn't make myself to train as physical therapist prescribed but with Helen, I manage to do it. My shoulder is much better and now I can swim again. She also took time to get to know me. She understand my personality and tailer my lesson plans for each month accordingly so that I can achieve my goals.

It's been more than two months now with Helen. She's an encouraging personal trainer. I can't believe how productive and stronger I became. Each session is designed to workout different parts of my body. I was happy that it especially activated the muscle groups I would never use at that level. Highly recommend.

Helen is the BEST coach ever - is the perfect ally once can hope for in a fitness trainer. She is upbeat, happy (genuine, authentic and warm), timely, conscientious and extremely knowledgeable. She walks the talk in terms of strength, fitness, keeping you on your toes and mixing-things-up to ensure variety and such that different muscle groups are trained. She is also understanding of your schedule and willing to collaborate & create room for fitness in your life! Helen has a "can-do" attitude. Her optimism & positivity is infectious. The only reason I stopped training with her is because we moved out of the area. But the enthusiasm for fitness & the techniques of form and approach that Helen taught me during our 12 lessons will stay with me for life. Thank you so much!
