About Laura (Lola)
Hello!
REMOTE WORKERS! Traveling Professionals! Time Zone Hoppers! With longevity in mind, I help women over 40 establish and attain their health and wellness goals. To accomplish this we focus on building and maintaining strength, flexibility and balance within an exercise program designed with the clients interests and specific goals in mind.
It is natural for our bodies to change throughout our lives. Every stage of life requires a different way of taking care of ourselves. What was important to us in our 20’s and 30’s no longer applies to us in our 40’s and 50’s. Women over 50 start to look to the future and search for what we need to do to carry us forward with the most vitality to give us the highest quality of life possible.
Currently, I am pursuing a Masters degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology in Trikala, Greece at the University of Thessaly. I wanted to expand my knowledge base to bring my clients every possible tool to aid in their success. During the pandemic I completed a Yoga Alliance approve Yoga Teacher training program and am now a certified Yoga instructor. In 2015, I spent a year studying Holistic Wellness and Nutrition through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and completed their Health Coaching program.
I am also a credentialed teacher with a B.S.Ed in Physical Education and Dance from Northern Illinois University. I have been in the fitness industry since 1988 and have taught a variety of fitness classes. With my range of experiences I feel we can find a fitness program that is just right for you!
Contact me and let's get started!
Thanks for looking me up!
My favorite client story
"Susan", 67, started with 30 minute sessions 2 x's a week because she feared she didn't have the stamina to make a whole hour. After one month of 30 minutes, 2 x's a week she moved up to 45minutes for 2 weeks and is now working 60 minute sessions 3x's a week with energy left over and hasn't looked back.

Lola has been my personal trainer and health coach since August. I have gained so much wisdom and knowledge about fitness and nutrition, even though I thought I knew just about everything. I am experiencing remarkable changes in my physique and my attitude toward nutrition. Lola is professional, prompt, friendly and personable, and extremely knowledgeable. She always makes the workouts interesting.
I have taken several of Laura's classes and have enjoyed each one. She mixes fun with 'work' in a motivating way. She plays awesome music and has a great sense of humor, which always makes for a good workout.
If you are looking for the best trainer you can get, look no more. Laura is one of the best trainers I have ever had. Not only is she sweet, she kicks your butt at the same time. She is very motivating and keeps you focused. I wished she still lived in Las Vegas.
I was introduced to Laura's yoga during the beginning of Covid through zoom. Her fabulous yoga made my body and mind feel free, relaxed and rejuvenated. It was my first experience taking yoga online. I enjoyed having interaction with Laura and our other yoga friends during the few minutes before class would start. Thanks for all the healing Laura!
Over the pandemic I was blessed to have been a part of Laura's class. I was greeted warmly and introduced to the other women and felt not only welcomed but not judged for where I was at in my exercise journey. Laura has a way of lifting you up and meeting you with not only love and kindness but giving you baby pushes to challenge yourself. She is a gem.
Lola is hands down the reason I began my yoga journey. After she spotted me joining in my son's PE class online, she encouraged me to join her weekly yoga class for adults. It was the first time in decades I maintained any weekly, organized physical activity. Her positive encouragement and advice on my technique have kept me going strong. Lola will welcome anyone on this journey with her, and do so with positivity, humor and progress.
The classes that Laura teaches are great for all skill levels. She expertly modifies activities for experts to beginners. Her voice is calming and soothing. She has a great sense of humor and a natural teaching style. Highly recommended!
I love working out with Laura. She is not only knowledgeable but i have a lot of fun too. And she can do a lot of different things, yoga, dance, weights, cardio, etc. she can also movtivate and encourage you to do your best workout!
Laura gave a great class, even with the constraints of Zoom. Each class left me feeling healthy, more relaxed, and energized. It was the highlight of each week.
I became acquainted with Laura during the Covid building lockdowns. My school district offered professional development classes, but Laura's Yoga classes were easily my favorite. She offered several classes in Yoga...including chair Yoga, and stress Relief Yoga. I signed up for every single class she offered. Her easy demeanor and comfort with teaching Yoga was amazing. Even via Zoom! She was able to individualize in an online Yoga class! That says a lot. I had taken Yoga many years ago, but stopped going to formal, in person classes may years ago. It was wonderful to reconnect with that part of my life. Laura made Yoga accessible for everyone, regardless of level of familiarity with the practice. She was able to individualize each person's comfort level in participation.
You cant go wrong with Laura! She is patient, while always pushing you to your best. She knows her stuff, her years of study and experience really show. She has a great sense of humor and makes things light and comfortable. I would strongly recommend Laura for any training needs!
Having the chance to take yoga classes with Laura was a genuine pleasure. Being a runner myself I found a lot of benefit with Laura’s flow. She clearly takes time to come up with beneficial yoga stretches that cater to every student in her classes. Having taken yoga classes elsewhere on my own, I really appreciated how Laura corrected any problems that I had, even if the class was taken online over video. Her classes are great for anyone at any level. I highly suggest Laura for your next yoga teacher!
Lola is a knowledgeable, experienced, and effective trainer! She tailored my program to address my goals and fitness level. As someone who was getting back into working out, I was worried at first that I wouldn't be able to make it through a 30-minute session. Thanks to Lola's customized workouts, I've made real progress in a modest amount of time. My confidence and strength have grown, and now I actually look forward to my 60-minute sessions! Plus, Lola has a lovely personality and delightful sense of humor. I highly recommend her!
Lola has trained me for nine months 2–3X/week -- and I have more strength and endurance as a result of her creative, engaging, and challenging workouts. I especially appreciate how she keeps things interesting and incorporates my feedback and requests. Lola's knowledge and experience enables her to clearly explain why we're doing something and how it supports my goals, such as improving my swimming or functional fitness. Key to my growth: I enjoy my time with Lola. She's motivating without being annoying, a great conversationalist, and really kind and flexible.
Laura has been so helpful to me over the past year. She inspires me to get moving even when I am not motivated. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for someone that is willing to target overall health and wellbeing.
I was stuck on a work trip in a hotel room for two weeks and decided to try a workout with Laura. She asked a few questions regarding my goals, frustrations and then practical stuff such as my previous injuries and how we could modify as we went along. She introduced me to mobility training which is a big eye-opener and then conducted me through an excellent interval workout. Pleasant personality and careful, but fun workout! Much better than exercising to a video on Youtube - Laura spotted and corrected my moments of improper form. I feel like I'm on the right track with this type of individualized tailoring and care!
