About Michael
Mover, doer, shaker.
I began my health and fitness career by teaching actors how to move, how to build a physical practice, and how to use their bodies for screen and stage with correct form and without pain. This began when I was in grad school at UC Irvine and has continued the past 3 years with my movement classes at Saddleback College where I continue to teach mobility in the arts.
This opened the doorway to obtaining my personal training certification from NASM earlier in 2020. Not only has this knowledge helped my students, it has allowed me to open my expertise to clients across the US through virtual training.
Although I have been helping clients with weight loss and muscle gain needs, my greatest joy is helping others learn the importance of a balanced, aligned, and healthy mind-body connection.
I am passionate about inspiring and uplifting others to live their best and healthiest lives while demystifying the process.

Coach Mike helped me lose 5lbs in the past month and 3 inches off of my waist! I haven't worked out or really moved since Covid started and I have some medical conditions that make some workouts hard for me but Mike has had plans to keep me working even if it's bad day for me without pushing too hard. Don't get me wrong when I come well rested and I have no flare ups we push it! I can also do box jumps and don't hate planks as much lol Thanks Coach Mike!
Coach Mike has such a refreshing approach to help you feel your best. Not just another personal training program re-run!!!
Mike gave me three private sessions. Really enjoyed it, made the session interesting. Learned a lot about nutrition too. Would recommend.
I can't say enough incredible things about Coach Mike. When I came to him I considered myself a pretty active person- I did yoga, went for walks, occasionally did a spin class when I felt like challenging myself. I loved protein smoothies and ate pretty well. But I just couldn't get the weight off. I came to him feeling really frustrated. I was young, I was active, I ate well, why couldn't I lose weight?! He taught me SO MUCH. I learned so much about balancing it all out with his help. His work outs are so kickass, I always feel wildly proud of myself when I finish a session with him. He's also fantastic about doing slower work outs on days when I'm just not there all the way. In the past when I was tired I would just let myself lounge, but he taught me how important movement is for our bodies even if it's just slow mobility and balance work on our tired days. I always finish these sessions feeling so much better. We tracked all my food, he helped me do a complete overhaul on my food and meal prep, and he was wonderful about checking in with me throughout the week. I learned that just because I had a smoothie for lunch and did a great work out doesn't balance out all the fat and carbs in the rest of my day. I didn't even realize how much I was consuming. I got so much clarity through his help with tracking my macro nutrients. And the amazing thing is he encourages eating fat and carbs, he taught me so much about nutrition and how to consume these foods in the right way. And now 3 months later? I've lost 7 inches on my waist, I'm 10 lbs down, and I feel (and look!) the best I have since college. I didn't think it was possible, I was genuinely starting to think it just wasn't in the cards for me to get the body I wanted. Coach Mike showed me all the right things. I'm so proud to be his client and can't wait to see what the next 3 months bring! I know he's getting more and more clients so get him while he's still available!
