About Patrick

Training is more than exercise, it's a way to understand what your body needs to maintain it's ability to serve you in life whatever that demand may be. Regardless of if you're looking to increase sports performance or keep up with your grandkids, strength is the physical trait that most effects your quality of life and resistance to injury.


My training philosophy revolves around the simple solutions to the problems presented by modern life. By mastering just a few basic movement patterns with kettlebell, barbells and bodyweight, you have the tools to infinite progression and progress in your training. My sessions consist of 55 minutes of work, including core exercise, strength training, cardiovascular conditioning and mobility work. By addressing weak points identified in our initial assessment and applying a program informed by over 10 years or experience and education, we can ensure success in nearly any physical endeavor.


I also offer coaching through my favorite cardio modality, dutch style kickboxing. Learning the perishable skills of punching, kicking, knees and elbow strikes, as well as defensive strategies keeps training far more engaging than running on a treadmill, and is a proven martial art of competition or self defense.


My favorite client story

The most rewarding experience in my career this far has definitely been bringing a wheelchair bound client, who suffered a severe back injury skiing 20 years earlier back to having the ability to stand and walk unassisted for 300 steps. The look on his face as he walked away from his wheelchair will keep me training people for the rest of my life.

My favorite exercise

Easily the barbell back squat. It can be modified to develop athletic explosiveness, makes you harder to injure, and is an incredible muscle builder!

My training philosophy

Every person should squat, press, pull and hinge with weight multiple times a week. Doing this your whole life will keep you healthy, lean, and capable of doing all the thing your life requires, and keep you you doing the things you love.

My training experience

My love for sport has been lifelong, but after a severe car accident when I was 20 that left me with a severe back injury I began to appreciate strength trainings ability to be scaled to fit nearly any goal.

Careful and intentional training returned me to playing the sports I love, but more importantly walking and working pain free after over a year of debilitating back pain. 10 years later I have never considered stopping my training practice and I'm more in touch with my body now than ever. I've been honored to trained clients as old as 103, NFL players active in the Rams roster, and countless clients in-between. Each one has felt the benefits of better mobility, coordination, strength and confidence. During this time, I've found simple training principles applied carefully and modified for the individual trainee that created results without fail.
