About Payton

Hi, I'm Payton, ISSA certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach. I began my own personal fitness journey as a way to combat my gender dysphoria. As a transgender man, I have a unique view of health and fitness. I like to think of fitness as a way to connect with our bodies, appreciate its abilities, and harness our strength and resilience. For me, fitness offers a way to appreciate and connect with a body that didn't always feel like mine. Throughout my years in fitness, I have gained experience in several modes of exercise such as, strength training, functional fitness, HIIT (high intensity interval training), endurance training, calisthenics (body weight), and group fitness classes. My goal as a personal trainer is to help others realize their potential, unlock their strength, and learn to enjoy fitness as a part of their normal lifestyle.  Through thoughtful conversation, I aim to truly understand my clients and their goals. Then I create a personalized experience to help them enjoy fitness and realize their goals, appreciate their body, and support them in their fitness and nutrition journey.


My favorite client story

Working remotely with a client who was very hesitant to make changes in his daily routines, but still knew he needed some help moving more, moving better, and with losing some unwanted weight. After some conversations about goals and lifestyle habits, I followed up with some simple educational material and a customized plan that would be easy to stick with and create small positive changes in habits. Within the first month this client shed 11lbs working just 2 days a week with me and making small dietary changes.

Your trainer should be an attentive caring and knowledgeable coach. They should work to get to know you as an individual, your needs, and your goals and adapt their training methods to accomodate your individuality.
