CLIENT: Male, 180 lbs, Age 40
GOAL: Lose 30 pounds + Gain strength & flexibility
When we first started, this particular client wasn’t afraid to show his apprehension towards my training philosophy. He’s hired many trainers in the past, all similar in the fact that they emphasized heavy weights and “motivation” to push hard through their workouts.
So naturally, through the personal experience of seeing a little progress training heavy, he was a bit skeptical.
Fast forward to the end of our very first workout, enforcing perfect, deep form on squats, deadlifts, and the shoulder press, all using incredibly light weights.
My client stared at me with a gaze that looked of a unique mixture of confusion, amazement, excitement, and vulnerability.
“I’ve been lifting weights incorrectly for 10 years.”
This client had also been dealing with shoulder pain for over a decade (causing even more damage continuing to train using heavy weights with previous trainers).
After two weeks of shoulder rehab work and a few simple tweaks to his shoulder press form, he was able to increase his shoulder strength to well over 150 pounds on the machine over the course of just a few months. Not bad for originally believing he’d never surpass 70 pounds again.
Lastly, I’m happy to say that this client was able to achieve his 30 pound weight loss goal in just six months. Even better, he’s cemented everything he’s learned over his six months training with me, and he continues to maintain and progress in his overall health and fitness on his own.

You’ll be amazed, even confused at the amount of activation, strengthening, and stretching your body will achieve, simply using lighter resistance with PERFECT form.
