My favorite client story
I helped a man with back spasms so severe he had to take off work days at a time. I not only figured out the issue, but then helped him fully correct it.
My favorite exercise
Martial arts and kicking pads, it's fun to kick and punch!
My favorite quote
Little things add up.
My training philosophy
You need to workout in ways that you enjoy, but also that get results. My true training philosophy changes with the client because they are the one who determines many factors. So I like to hear what they want and need first, then I decide my philosophy and strategy.
My training experience
A personal trainer since 2010. Worked for Bally Total Fitness as a trainer and Fitness Manager from 2010-2014. At Bally's I had the opportunity to train every type of person almost imagibable, which taught me a great deal and helped me grow greatly as a trainer. I have been private ever since 2014.

Matt is a fantastic trainer. Very knowledgeable and dedicated. He pushes me to work harder and keeps me disciplined. I also have a LOT of questions: Why we do this, why we do that? And he always addresses such questions in the greatest detail. He has trained people for a very long time and knows what people usually struggle with. He also changed my attitudes with dieting and taught me what to eat and what not to. I highly recommend him.
Matt is a fantastic trainer that always keeps workouts engaging with new challenges.
I've been working out with Matt Graves from Find Your trainer for several weeks. He pushes me to work muscles I don't usually work, but also tailors the workout to my specifications. It's been a great experience all around. I'm starting to feel stronger and more fit.
Matt is a creative trainer with tailored workouts for specific client needs. He quickly adapted the small gym environment in my building and come up with a variety of work out regiments that suited me well. He explains patiently the science behind each workout, laying a foundation of knowledge which will benefit me down the road. I can’t say enough about him!
I have an endless number of positive things to say about Matt as a trainer. He does not have a "one size fits all" approach and strives hard to personalize our sessions based on my skill level and my needs. He is patient, knowledgeable, a good communicator, and very perceptive - so don't try to cheat on your wall squats :) He gave me a newfound sense of "mental toughness" when it comes to what I think I can and cannot accomplish in the gym, and he helped me identify my own mental roadblocks that I had created for myself. Matt will help you create a foundation for yourself and then will push you in the best ways possible to build on that foundation and grow. You will also have fun in the process of working out (something that had never been the case for me!) I am grateful for his approach and believe he has me on my path to achieving my goals. You won't regret going with him!
Matt is currently working with my 91-year-old mother. Believe it or not, she does 2-3 miles daily on the treadmill and takes strenuous workout classes. Matt is a giant part of her physical health program, and we are very grateful for his professionalism, care, concern, and desire to help Mom live life to the fullest. He has an amazing wealth of knowledge about diet, nutrition and exercise. I would take private classes with him if my schedule could allow for that! Thank you, Matt!
