I have worked within the fitness industry for well over 20 years now. There's very little that I haven't seen come down the pike in business. From clients not being able to figure out why they're plateauing to every new quick fix workout and diet plan. I have always found that when things aren't working it's usually because at some level basic fundamentals are being ignored, such as proper nutrition, intensity levels and consistency. And of course there's basic arithmetic: calories in calories out. With that said, nothing replaces the real world experience that a Master Level Trainer brings to the table. My experience ranges from working with elite level athletes to corporate execs and the new mom looking to get back into pre-baby shape. The positions I've held within the industry are vast, going from an entry level position to eventually owning my own facility. If there's one thing I always share with clients is that I will never set them up for failure. I'll never ask you to do something you can not do. This is something I constantly remind the client. We have trained and worked your capabilities to the point where you CAN do that.

Richard was professional and extremely responsive with setting up a personal workout routine for my daughter who is visiting from Europe. After a couple of emails and a phone call Richard had her two week personal training session planned!
I have trained with Richard for 9 years. He customizes each workout to fit your goals and ability and pushes you each time to reach your maximum potential. After a few weeks of two 30-minute sessions I see results. People always comment on my good looking arms--I've got definition! Each session I do combines boxing and strength training, both of which have improved muscles definition, core power strength and helped me lose inches. Richard makes each workout tough but you it goes by fast because each one is different and challenging. I particularly enjoy the boxing because it's a fun way to relieve stress (yoga can only do so much), and it makes you feel tough and in charge! Plus, I feel safer knowing I can land a tough left hook.
I have been training with Richard for about 5 years. He is extremely knowledgeable and hard working. The training sessions are relatively short but intense which is critical.
Rich trained my 14 year old to prepare for Freshman football. Rich was excellent, pushing him hard while keeping him focused and motivated to give it his all and keep with the program over the 3 month period. Results were excellent with increased strength, endurance and agility
STAC fitness is outstanding. The equipment is top notch, the gym is well maintained, and it is always a pleasant experience working out at STAC with Richard and Chris.
From day one, Richard has always pushed our son to do more than the minimum. Our son was required to keep a log of his lifting progress and bring it to every workout. By doing this, there was ownership in the workouts and our son was able to see his own improvements. The level of confidence that Richard help build, enabled our son to go into his Freshman year of high school playing the game he loves, and continue his level of academic achievements. Every minute of the workout time was focused on goals and expectations were always set high. We always got more than we expected! Thank You!

Richard doesn’t waste any time. I initially thought 30 minutes wouldn’t be enough time but I felt more accomplished in those 30 minutes than anytime I’ve gone to the gym before for an hour. He is very professional and encouraging in and outside of the gym. OH and ask him about his art!!!
