Hello, I'm Tyler! I believe in expanding awareness of mind, body, and spirit through conscious movement training and play. My niche is flexibility, yoga, mobility, facial stretching, postural alignment, pain mitigation, bodyweight training/calisthenics, and energy / alignment work known Qi Gong. I've worked with individuals ranging from age 8-88, beginners to experts, over the past 7 years professionally and have trained myself for 15 years now. I've taught yoga for 12 years. I used to be overweight, deconditioned and depressed when I was younger. I discovered movement and fitness which helped me regain my confidence and zest for life. I now share that zest by training clients and friends in my own studio / dojo that I built in a detached structure at my house. My favorite client story
My friend Jan, in her early 50s, literally couldn't walk more than 100 feet without needing to stop, sit down and breathe through ankle / foot pain. After 2x / week of 75 minute training sessions for only 8 weeks and doing her prescribed homework of 15 minutes daily, she was able to go through the entire grocery store without even remembering that she had pain. Sooo amazing!!!!
My favorite exercise
My favorite exercise is more of what my mood is like, like what to eat. It is also seasonal. So, right now at the end of summer, I am loving swimming and practicing flow arts in the park!

My training philosophy
Each component of fitness (flexibility, strength, endurance, breathe-ability, relaxability, rest, technique, agility, accountability) is like a spring on a trampoline. If one or more of these components are out of balance with the other, when something in life comes as a stressor and tests the buoyancy of trampoline (aka the body) it will break. If the practitioner is not only aware of but also giving attention to and taking action on training each component a little bit daily (like brushing teeth and flossing), then when life brings us challenges we are buoyant and light in the face of them. The body is one of the ways to train the mind, which translates to attitude of life. Right attitude, right results.
