Aubrey Lingley

About Aubrey
I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. I specialize in Cardio & Endurance training, Adaptive Needs & Corrective Exercise, and training individuals with disability or medical restrictions both in home and outdoor as well as virtually. I have worked with clients from 5-90 years old and adapt my training based on the needs of my clients. I am very passionate about proper mobility and ensure clients are actively stretching every session and as consistently as possible throughout the week. Some of my favorite clients to work with have been those who survive a stroke and are working through recovery! I originally went to school to become a teacher and spent about 10 years in the industry, specializing in exceptional student education (more commonly referred to as "special ed") and working primarily with preschool and elementary aged children. I have also lived with epilepsy for most of my life, nearly 20 years, which caused my having to originally step away from teaching in 2018. I was in the worst health of my life, overweight with a top weigh in of 208 pounds, miserable and having seizures pretty consistently. I focused on regaining control of my health, fell in love with fitness, became an avid racer of various 5k, 10k, and half marathon (Spartans!!!) races and achieved 1 year seizure free in 2020. I have personally lost over 50 pounds, gained 5-10 pounds of muscle, and drastically increased my overall health with the transformative results that being dedicated to fitness can provide and I am never looking back!
My favorite exercise
I personally refer to myself as the Burpee Queen lol but don't worry, not all of my clients face my cardio fury.
My favorite quote
Do what you CAN, where you ARE, with what you HAVE! - Theodore Roosevelt
My training philosophy
Be honest and accountable! If I give you programming for the week and you don't do it. TELL ME! If you do it and it was too challenging. TELL ME! If you don't understand how to do it so you just do something else TELL ME!!!! I cannot help you if I don't have all the info. Please do not feel embarrassed or ashamed to share what is going on. I am more than happy to modify, explain, or adjust your program. We are a team on this journey, and you are a valuable member of that team collaboration as well!
