Debbie, loves to workout and was a distance runner for over 40 years. She is passionate about a holistic approach to health and wellness whereby incorporating body, mind and spirit. My favorite client story

Last week:
During a training session with a client recently, she received a call from her aging mother {my age LOL} and answered to make sure everything was ok. The client quickly stated that was she at the gym working out and would call back when finished.
After disconnecting, my 30+ year old client said to me, "my parents do not believe that I am working out because I am not and have never been athletic."
I immediately said...yes, you are athletic, which she again denied.
She commented..."maybe down the road I will be but for now I am not athletic."
I considered her response then replied...God doesn't see us as we are, he sees us as we will be. She thought for a moment and agreed saying..."that's true."
I explained, you don't see yourself as an athletic person, but as a trainer, I see you as you are and as you will be. You are athletic and are doing amazing!
This client has been working very hard for months now and has come so far. She is determined to be functionally fit for life but couldn't see she is already well on her way.
Remember...Fit is not a destination. It is a way of life.

I have been faithfully working out for well over 40 years and became a trainer 10 years ago. My passion is functional fitness. I have worked with young adults to the aged population.
