My favorite client story

I recently had the privilege of working on a remarkable project with a client that holds a special place in my heart. When we first started working together, this client was 15 years old, carrying an excess weight of over 50 pounds, and lacked any sports background. Our training sessions took place in a modest gym located in Boston, spanning approximately 300 square feet. Despite the limited equipment, we forged ahead.

To my amazement, this client's progress was nothing short of astounding. In just six months, he shed an impressive 60 pounds, a testament to his unwavering dedication and hard work. Recognizing his remarkable efforts, I invited him to join me as my weight lifting partner. Together, we spent two hours in the gym, three times a week, pushing each other to new heights.

Witnessing his transformation was awe-inspiring. From bench pressing 20-pound dumbbells, he steadily progressed to an impressive 185-pound barbell for reps. His squat, which started at a modest weight, reached a staggering 365 pounds for sets of 12. The physical achievements were undeniably impressive, but what truly struck me was the client's parallel growth academically. During our time together, he remarkably elevated his GPA from 50th in his class to an outstanding second place.

This project exemplifies the power of mastering not only exercise and nutrition but also sleep and mindset. The holistic approach we embraced allowed this client to achieve remarkable physical and academic transformations, positioning him uniquely as he embarked on his college journey.

My favorite exercise

One of my favorite exercises is a bridge preceded by a short circuit of specific mobility and activation movements. This circuit holds a special place for me because I designed it with the specific goal of addressing chronic lower back discomfort, both experienced by my clients and myself. What makes this circuit truly remarkable is its versatility—it can be performed anywhere, whether remotely or in person, and without the need for any equipment. By incorporating this circuit into our training sessions, my clients have successfully overcome what was once chronic lower back discomfort, allowing them to move and perform pain-free.

My training philosophy

My training philosophy revolves around a client-centered approach that combines personalized guidance with evidence-based methods. I prioritize tailoring training programs to each individual's goals, needs, and abilities, ensuring a customized and effective experience.

In addition to focusing on evidence-based practices, I place a strong emphasis on the client's overall well-being. I believe in a holistic approach that includes nutrition, recovery, and mindset. By addressing these aspects, I aim to support clients in developing sustainable lifestyle changes that go beyond the gym.

Safety and proper technique take precedence in my training philosophy. I place great emphasis on instructing clients in correct form and mechanics to prevent injuries and maximize their results. Additionally, it's important to note that we will not simply work through discomfort during exercise. Instead, we will employ proven strategies to address any discomfort and restore proper mobility when necessary. Creating a supportive and motivating environment is essential to my approach, as I aim to empower clients to surpass their perceived limits and achieve their goals.

I am dedicated to understanding client's unique goals, needs, and limitations, and I work collaboratively with them to design and adjust training programs accordingly.
