About Me
Born and raised in New York, I’m a fitness and wellness professional with a background as a Division I track and field athlete, competing in sprint events for over 11 years. After becoming a mother, I experienced firsthand how challenging it can be to regain strength, confidence, and balance. That journey inspired me to create Shaped by Sharifah.
I am certified through ISSA as a Personal Trainer, Strength & Conditioning Coach, and Transformation Specialist, as well as a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach and Peak Pilates Instructor. My approach combines strength training, Pilates, nutrition coaching, and lifestyle support to help clients achieve lasting results.
I work with clients of all ages, fitness levels, and abilities, including those focused on weight loss, muscle gain, athletic performance, injury recovery, and overall wellness. I also specialize in supporting pre- and postnatal women, postpartum recovery, and women navigating perimenopause and menopause.
My training style focuses on progressive overload, functional movement, circuit-based training, Pilates, and sustainable nutrition habits. Every program is customized to fit each client's goals, lifestyle, and unique needs.

Strength training develops power, confidence, and longevity, while Pilates enhances core stability, posture, and mindful movement. Nervous system regulation practices like breathwork and recovery strategies help reduce stress, prevent burnout, and improve overall performance.
As a former Division I athlete, national tackle football player, and mother, I understand the importance of adapting training to each season of life. Every program is personalized to meet you where you are and help you build sustainable, lasting results.
My goal is simple: help you feel strong, balanced, and in control of your body and mind.

Shaped by Sharifah and more! Mere words can not express my thanks to Sharifah for literally doing the heavy lifting in helping me meet my weight loss goal and more! During my initial consultation I quickly realized Sharifah would be more than just a personal trainer. Can't put my finger on it but let me put it this way: Sharifah was able to get into my head and help filter out the noise that was interfering with my efforts back to health and personal fitness. I met Sharifah in late May and my goal was to lose 10 pounds before my trip to see my son stationed in Alaska in mid-July. I arrived at her doorstep a full-on flabby 188 lbs and by the time my flight was wheels up, I had carved off 15 lbs and added muscle. I continue to work with her once a week and am now down to 164ish, much fitter with a lower blood pressure! Sharifah tailors workouts that are challenging and effective. The good habits she helps you build carry over to your everyday life. An unintended consequence is I now make better choices in all phases of my life including diet!!
