Hello, my name is Shavney. I was overweight, depressed, and my life was a total mess. This innovative lifestyle called fitness changed my life. It absolutely became a lifestyle and I'm dedicated to it because of what it has done for me. I know it can do the same for you too! Having a great coach to guide me was a valuable tool for my success. Now I'm living my best life physically, mentally, and emotionally. We all know it effects us physically. But a lot of us don't know it's mental and emotional effects by directly effecting the brain by better blood supply stimulating the body to produce endorphines and enkephalins; the bodys natural feel good hormones. Execise builds confidence and creates structure and routine. The benefits are endless. After years of working in a boutique gym for a veteran trainer, absorbing everything he taught me, perfecting my own craft, I have had the opportunity to achieve my own dream of building a gym in my own home that will meet all my clients needs.
My favorite client story
Kate. A young woman who came to me the wanting to lose her freshman 15. She loathed exercise and it was my mission to make it fun for her. No matter what I enthusiastically came up with she snapped "this isn't fun" or "of course I feel that, it doesn't feel good"! But she was a trooper and to my surprise kept coming. The summer ended and school started and she also works full time so she wouldn't have time to continue through the fall and winter but by this time she still hated exercise but loved the results she got from it. She still reaches out to me every once in a while to check in to tell me she is using her resistance bands and kettle bell and does some exercise on her own in her room. She also tells me she will be back come late spring.
My favorite exercise
Ewwwww!!! There are so many. I love so many squat variations but my absolute fav is with a barbell or using a 50lb dumb bell. I love anything with a kettlebell, lunges, reverse lunges, snatches, clean and press. I love battle ropes, there are so many different exercises I love with battle ropes, lunge slams, landmines, plyo squats, russian twists. The list is endless!
