I help middle age adults with weight loss and overall fitness through exercise, good nutrition, and education.
This is important to me because at one time I struggled with weight and health issues. My past career as a traveling professional was used an excuse not to exercise and not to take care of my health. I let myself go to hell. I gained weight and did not exercise. Every year my waist grew and grew and it became more and more difficult to move and walk with out feeling terrible.
This went on for many years. Then one day after taking a short walk up Hill Street in Signal Hill, with my wife I decided to make a change before I had serious health issues. So I started to eat healthy and eat less. This led to walking, jogging, running. Started with 2-3 days a week and worked up to 5-6 days a week.
The weight was coming off week after week until I lost nearly a 100 lbs. This led to running half and full marathons. All done while working my corporate job. Soon after my first marathon I stared to train for triathlons. Now I compete in full Ironman races using strength, cardio, strength, flexibility and balance, training.
As a NASM CPT I place clients through a fit assessment to learn their current condition. After this I design a program based on your condition and goals. I will place a big focus on correcting compensation (muscle imbalances) so we can properly progress through the fitness journey safely and with out injury.
