Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,I grew up a dancer and have always had a passion for health and fitness. I spent three years working professionally with Diavolo Dance Theater, a national and international touring acrobatic dance company. During this time I had the amazing opportunity to be featured on season 12 of America's Got Talent. I hold a BA in Dance from Slippery Rock University, and am an ACE certified personal trainer and nutrition specialist. Over the past four years as a fitness professional, I have helped people of all ages become the best versions of themselves. I also teach classes at SHIFT by Dana Perri in Sherman Oaks, a premiere fitness studio that offers circuit training on an olympic sprung gymnastics floor.
My fitness journey took off in 2011 when i was almost fired from my dance job for not looking the part. I put myself through every unhealthy way of losing weight out there. I recongnized through this process that I never wanted anyone else to experience that and that there had to be a better way. So i began to research and learn everything I could about how to change my body in a healthy way. Along the way I fell in love with all things fitness and the rest is history. My favorite part about what I do now is the relationships I foster and the life-long changes I see in my clients. I encourage everyone I work with to understand that fitness is a slow process and overall lifestyle change. It's not a 6 or 8 week quick fix, it's learning healthy habits to improve the overall quality of your life, for good.
One way that I now like to challenge myself is by doing Spartan races. In 2016, I completed my trifecta which included over 20 miles of terrain and 50 obstacles. I truly do live and practice what i preech and I believe that together we can accomplish anything!
