About Jonathan
Jon has approximately 10 years of experience in health and fitness. he was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale and graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Health Science. He moved to New York City in 2017 to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry. Before entering the fitness industry Jon worked in different healthcare settings including pain management, phlebotomy and chronic retina diseases. He comes from a sports background and was a baseball player for13 years. Jon enjoys training others for their specific sport, he mainly works with clients aiming for weight loss, increase in strength, toning and mobility. Jon considers his training style to be positive and upbeat. He uses a science approach to help clients understand why the movements and exercises he uses will be beneficial for them.
My favorite client story
a client bought 3 tailored suits for Christmas before the start of our new program. When he received the suits 8 weeks later the tailor was pissed to find our client’s chest and arms were too big for the suits. Client was happy to wait for them to be remade :)
After spending 3 months working to get full body weight pulls up with a client we were doing sets of 3 before the Thanksgiving holiday. Our first session back he told me that he got into a pull up contest with his brother a few times and beat him every time. I asked what was the most pull ups he got in a set? His response with a big smile was "10."
I said "show me."
He jumped up on the nearest pull up rack and proceeded to do 10 pull ups. Told me the friendly competition gave him some a drive. And after doing it he had a new found confidence and wanted to showcase his pull ups. (We immediately increased the rep count in his pull up sets.)

It's gratifying and motivating to help people achieve the goals we set week in and out, to watch clients change their ultimate goal as we get closer because they realize that they have come so far already why not keep aiming to go up, to be healthier or find a new challenge.

Jonathan helped me so much with my goals and motivation for getting back in shape. After over 5 years away from working out and mostly living a sedentary lifestyle I thought getting back in shape would be a struggle. I suffered a few injuries in high school and college and had some nagging pains in my lower back and knees. Jonathan took the time to listen to my medical history and helped develop an amazing workout plan. We were able to focus on my problem areas and now I don't have any more pain in either my knee or back. I went from barely being able to do a single pull up to now easily doing a few sets of 10. Even my girlfriend has noticed a huge difference in me. Jonathan didn't try to upsell me and he didn't push supplements; he just made sure my technique was sound and every week we added one or two more exercises to the routine. He brings a passion and energy that is refreshing and he made me look forward to going to the gym twice a week. If you are considering a trainer Jonathan is exceptional.
Jonathan is a knowledgeable and awesome trainer! As a working actor in New York I’m always trying to find ways and motivation to stay fit. Jonathan’s training is absolutely superb, I was able to make gains in the short period of time we have been working together.
