About Ken
My name is Ken Kamin, I am a Personal Trainer through NASM. I have additional certifications as a Corrective Exercise Specialist, a Performance Enhancement Specialist, a Nutrition Coach, as a Cancer Recovery Instructor, and I am certified by the American Red Cross in Adult First Aid CPR/AED. I own Ken Kamin Personal Training, and I am a mobile trainer that travels to my clients desired location. I also offer Online training or a combination of both. I have been an athlete all of my life and I enjoy physical fitness and athletics. I have been coaching various sports for 30 years and I am presently a Middle School Head Track coach and a Varsity Football assistant coach. Coaching and Training are my passion, I enjoy seeing my clients achieve their fitness goal, and my athletes reach levels of efficiency they never thought possible. I started training by becoming a strength and conditioning coach for a 18U travel baseball team. I was searching out ways to become more of a specialty coach for athletes, so I became a certified personal trainer through NASM. I began training clients out side of sports and found that I enjoied helping my clients achieve there fitness goals. I worked part time at several gyms such as, Genisis Health Club, KC YMCA, Detroit YMCA, and LA Fitness. I found that many clients don't feel comfortable working out in a gym setting. So I began my own business, Ken Kamin Personal Training, as a mobile trainer and met my clients where they felt most comfortable. I supply the equipment needed for each particular client and their program. It has worked out well and I love what I do.
My favorite client story
I had a woman client once that was a mother, and a grandma. She had been active at one time in her life but she had let physical exercise go for quite sometime. She gain a lot of weight, she couldn't move well because of achy joints, and she had no stamina. She got to a point that she wasn't able to play with her grand kids because of her condition. She was diligent and worked with me 2 days a week, for 6 months and she reached her goal of weight loss, gained stamina and mobility, and was again able to play with her grand kids without being out of breath and in pain.
My favorite exercise
My favorite exercise the Jefferson Squat. It is a total body exercise and requires many different muscle groups to preform.

My training experience
I have trained professionally for 9 years, at various health and fitness clubs, as well as for my own mobile training business. My experience as a coach for 30 years has also helped me to become a better trainer by, teaching me to adjust to different personalities, it has given me unmeasurable skills and experience.
