The biggest thing I've learned is that no matter what you're looking to accomplish (whether it's getting stronger, losing weight, learning new exercises, etc) the most important thing you can do is LOVE THE PROCESS.
And that looks different for everyone. Some people love hitting new PRs. Others enjoy learning about nutritious foods. Some love the endorphins rush after a long run. You won't know what you enjoy until you try!

I've been working with Matt on and off for the past year and can only say good things. If you're looking for a good trainer that is friendly, supportive, and informative then Matt is your guy. I've lost about 20 pounds since starting my fitness journey and I don't know if I would've been able to lose that much without the support of a coach like him!
I started working with matt a couple years ago and he now coaches me and my wife. Before my wife and I were married we were wanting to lose a little bit of weight so we could look our best for our wedding. We both put on a few pounds since high school and we didn't want to our old high school friends to not recognize us. I booked matt back in 2022 and not only did he put together exercise programs for me, but he was also willing to talk with me about my dieting efforts. It seemed like he understood why I wasn't losing weight and talked me through some different dieting approaches, gave me the pros and cons of each and let me decide. After I decided he told me exactly what I needed to do and needless to say it was pretty easy for me to lose weight once I had some guidance. My wife saw that I had lost about 10 pounds so she decided she wanted to try working with Matt too. She had been going to some fitness classes at our community center and she hadn't been able to lose any weight. Long story short, I lost about 25 pounds in about 5 months, and she lost about 20 pounds in 3 months. Pretty crazy the progress we were able to make. WOuld definitely recommend Matt to anyone thinking about losing weight.
Matt’s a great coach and knows his stuff. He’ll push you if you’d like but doesn’t go to far. Professional and thorough without being stuffy and rigid. He’s also very encouraging and seems to take a positive reinforcement approach.
I've been working with Coach Matt over the past few months and he's been great. He's been very thoughtful about helping me achieve my goals. He has a great ability of helping you progress to harder exercises while also not pushing beyond your limit. I cannot recommend him enough to those who are excited about working out, but are unsure how to go about planning a routine.
