Throughout my childhood, I hated the idea of exercise and always felt like I had a bad relationship with my body. I felt that I was pushed towards a body standard that I would not be able to compete with. I eventually found an activity that I actually felt confident in, lifting weights. As I started focusing on PERFORMANCE-based goals instead of SCALE-based goals, I found value in myself and my ability to be "fit". This ideology has stuck with me throughout my career, and I wish for all of my clients to find confidence in their bodies through learning proper movement mechanics and different forms of exercise. My favorite client story
I have a client that we had to start over completely when it came to lifting due to poor form and core strength. For months we had to dial back the weight, and now this client is exceeding all of their performance goals!
