My fitness journey began playing all manner of team sports as a child and being fortunate enough to play soccer up to and through college. After college I trained and raced Expert Class XC Mountain Biking and went on to train others in the sport while also playing and coaching competitive club soccer.
During the last 25 years of military service, I have taught functional fitness, cardiovascular endurance, and muscular strength training using a variety of methods. As a Personal Trainer, I use my vast experience, numerous mistakes made, and years of science-based fitness education to meet the individual needs of each client. I pride myself on providing safe, fun, challenging, and effective training to maximize results.
My favorite exercise
The squat is the end all, be all of compound exercise movements that has the greatest return on strength, mobility, and body composition. If you could only do one exercise, the squat should be your best choice. It is a difficult exercise to master but with training and coaching it can be done.
