About Patrick

 I'm a health & fitness specialist who has worked with the Essex/Hudson County community for the past 9 years, while working as a Fitness Specialist with cancer patients in a Stage III Cardiac Rehabilitation & Diabetes program at Robert Wood Johnson Fitness & Wellness Center. My clients have varied from professional athletes to cancer patients, diabetics, pre/post natal mothers and the senior population. I have always seen each client as an athlete in their own way, no matter their goals. My clients goals become my goals and it becomes a team approach to their success. Workouts could vary for different goals and contraindications, but could include weights, boxing, kettlebells, flexibility, mobility, dynamic core movements; as well as  behavior change strategies.

My favorite client story

I have a client who is 69 years old and has been working with me for the past 6 years. One week he's telling me how much the workouts have benefited his softball performance. The next he's telling me how much the workouts have benefited his business. It's always a new story. This inspires me, along with every client who benefits from reaching their goals and living a healthier lifestyle.

Patrick is a fitness trainer who is very knowledgeable and careful, taking into account a client's condition and needs. I came to him after a series of accidents and injuries over several years that left me weaker and bereft of the fitness I once had. He has provided me with a broad spectrum of stretches, core and resistance exercises that address the need for overall strength and flexibility. I came to Patrick while recovering from cancer and chemotherapy. At that point in my life I had gained a lot of weight and was always tired. As a military chaplain working with young soldiers, I knew it was imperative for me to return to my pre-cancer body or I would not be effective as a role model to my soldiers. At first I was too tired to work out or even eat properly. One of Patrick’s greatest skills is in motivating people. He texted me to see how my body felt and to make sure I was following the diet. As time went on, I soon got into a regular routine and now about 5 months later, I have the energy and drive to run and keep up with my soldiers.
