About Jordan (Jay)

I became a personal trainer because I’ve always been passionate about health and fitness and the way physical well-being can transform both the body and mind. After seeing how fitness improved my own confidence and energy levels, I realized I wanted to help others experience the same positive changes. I chose to specialize in virtual personal training because it allows me to reach and motivate people no matter where they are, providing them with the flexibility to fit workouts into their busy lives. My goal is to empower clients to take control of their health, build sustainable habits, and achieve their fitness goals—no matter their starting point.

My favorite client story

Megan came to me feeling stuck, frustrated by years of failed diets and workouts. Instead of focusing on weight loss right away, we started with small, achievable goals and built her confidence through strength training. One day, she surprised herself by deadlifting her body weight, and that moment sparked a complete shift. Over time, she lost 30 pounds of body fat and gained 10 pounds of muscle mass, but the real transformation was in her mindset—she no longer saw fitness as a chore, but as a way to feel empowered.

My favorite exercise

My favorite exercise is a strongman exercise, Yoke Carry. The yoke consists of a crossbar supported by two vertical posts, with weight plates added to either side to increase the load.

My training philosophy

My training philosophy centers on personalization, progression, and holistic wellness. I believe that each individual has unique goals, strengths, and challenges, so training should be tailored to fit those needs. I prioritize building a solid foundation through proper technique and gradual progression, ensuring clients not only get stronger but also move safely and effectively. I emphasize consistency and discipline, while also promoting a positive mindset, making fitness enjoyable, sustainable, and part of a balanced lifestyle. Ultimately, my approach is about empowering clients to reach their full potential—physically, mentally, and emotionally—by fostering a strong mind-body connection and helping them build lifelong, healthy habits.

My training experience

I have personally trained for sports performance, weight loss, strongman, and general strength.

I started working with Jay as a complete beginner, and I couldn’t be more grateful for her guidance and support! I had zero experience with fitness and was honestly intimidated by the idea of working out, but from day one, Jay made me feel comfortable and confident. She takes the time to explain each exercise, show me proper form, and create workouts that are both challenging and manageable. I never feel like I’m being pushed too hard and always feel encouraged to do my best. The results speak for themselves—I’ve seen significant improvements in my strength, endurance, and overall health. Beyond just the physical changes, I’ve gained more confidence and a better understanding of how to take care of my body. Jay has created a fun, supportive atmosphere that makes every session something I look forward to rather than dread. As someone who has struggled with weight loss for a while, I was nervous about starting my fitness journey, but Jay is the reason I am still going! I will forever be grateful for her and if you’re new to fitness or have been hesitant to start, I highly recommend Jay Barth. She is someone you want in your corner.

Jay is more than just a trainer, she takes the time to really know you personally and she invests in your goals and you as a person. She is also extremely thoughtful about any physical and/or mental limitations. I would recommend her highly to anyone.

I started training with Jordan in October of 2023. She has been amazing with how she targets strengthening Upper, Lower body/Core. She also offers HIIT and many other cardio based exercises. I feel very satisfied with the results I’ve gotten and would definitely recommend training with her. Very good pricing too!

This is my first time having a personal trainer and I couldn’t be happier. Jay listens and is focused on me completely during our sessions. She has taught me how to use the machines and weights and gave me the confidence I needed. She is so knowledgeable and easy to get along with. I really love working out now and can’t thank her enough! Absolutely recommend her!
