About Melissa

Hey All! My name is Melissa Arias and I love making people fall in love with training! Quick backstory about me is that I was 40lbs overweight in college. I stepped into a spin studio one time and it completely changed my relationship with exercise. I quickly started losing the weight which led me to pick up some weights and started educating myself on strength training. I ended up switching from my pharmacy major at the time to graduating with a Bachelor's of Health Science and a Master's of Exercise Science. I am currently obtaining my Doctorate in Physical Therapy as well. After graduating with my Master's I obtained my NASM CPT certification among others and quickly became an Elite Personal Trainer/Team Leader at a nationally recognized gym for a total of two years. I like to call my sessions "Simple, but Sinister" I focus on the whole body all at once and like to train the body as one. I take the basic fundamental movements like the squat, deadlift, bench press, plank and perfect them with my clients. My clients always leave my sessions smiling, with a load of knowledge and sweaty whether it's at a physical gym or on the other side of a computer screen. I love working with all types of different clients, but overweight women and I always click best because of our similarities. I aim to convince and show people how to incorporate exercise into their lifestyle as often and as important as it is to brush their teeth. Working out doesn't have to be a drag in someone's life and with me as their trainer they'll see for themselves how fun, rewarding and necessary it really is.
