About Debra

Hi! I'm Debbie Dennis, a dedicated and dynamic personal trainer with experience in low impact aerobic fitness training and strength training. I have been somewhat active for most of my life, but at one point had to have surgery, got in a major rut and had to lose several pounds. Through exercise and eating more healthfully, I was able to lose the weight and it changed my life. I am also a seasoned middle school ELA teacher with 26 years of experience, skilled in communication, motivation and fostering growth. My philosophy is that exercise should be challenging, but also enjoyable. Committed to bringing positivity to each workout, I provide a fun, energetic format that motivates and achieves results. In addition to training clients part time, I love teaching fitness classes (HIIT, Strength Training and Spinning) at the local gym, walking my dog, Indiana Bones, scrapbooking, biking, and sipping coffee with friends --preferably outdoors enjoying nature.  I can meet you at two local gyms or a park in my area, or online!

My favorite exercise

My favorite exercise is a cable crossover (as a ladder), with dumbbells I enjoy rows or bicep curls and for squats I prefer goblet squats. I have a lot of other favorites, too!

My training experience

I have been personal training and teaching 5 classes a week at a local gym since 2022 and I love it! It would be my pleasure to assist you in your fitness journey and help you reach your goals. Every one of my trainees has enjoyed my tailor made workouts and has seen results. I'm excited to meet you.

If I could give Debbie 10 stars, I would! She was awesome! I learned key principles that for health and wellness that I use still today. Secondly, your help really motivated me towards a regular workout routine.
