I began my journey when I was overweight and with high blood pressure. I knew from family history that I was an ideal candidate for Type II diabetes if I didn't do anything. I weighed 215 pounds and was carrying around 33% body fat. It was also around this time that I was treated for prostate cancer. Cancer and heart disease also run in my family. So I knew I had to do something!

I started a regular workout routine, which helped with the blood pressure, but not my weight. Once I started tracking all of my food and drinks, I started to see how bad my diet was. I decided to get that under control and I started losing the weight. After 10 months of restricting my calorie intake, I got down to 155 pounds but I was still too "fat." I then spent the next year focusing on weight training while continuing to monitor and track my calories, focusing on protein. I am finally where I want to be at 160 pounds and 11% body fat.

I want to help you become the best that you can be. No matter where you are starting, we will set attainable goals to get you to where you want to be. If you do the work, you will get the reward. Take it from someone who has been there.
