My favorite client story

One of my favorite client success stories was training Rachel from The Bachelor/Bachelor Pad.

What made it memorable wasn’t the TV fame.
It was the transformation that happened behind the scenes.

Like a lot of people, Rachel came in wanting physical results — but what people don’t realize is that fitness is never just about the body. It’s confidence. Stress relief. Discipline. Mental toughness. Learning to trust yourself again.

We focused on:

* Consistency over perfection
* Strength training
* Accountability
* Building sustainable habits
* Training with intensity while still making fitness enjoyable

What stood out most to me was watching someone push past self-doubt and start carrying themselves differently both inside and outside the gym.

That’s the part of coaching I love most after 23 years in this industry.

Not the selfies.
Not the scale.
Not the celebrity aspect.

It’s watching someone realize:

“I’m stronger than I thought I was.”

That’s why I still love what I do.

My favorite quote

It ain’t about how hard you hit.
It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.”
— Rocky Balboa

My training philosophy

My philosophy is simple:

Fitness should improve your life — not consume it.

After 23 years in the industry, I’ve learned that the best programs aren’t the flashiest. The best programs are the ones people can realistically sustain while balancing work, family, stress, and everyday life.

I believe in:

* Consistency over perfection
* Education over intimidation
* Progress over ego
* Longevity over quick fixes

Anybody can destroy you in a workout for social media content.
A real trainer builds you up physically, mentally, and emotionally over time.

My approach combines:

* Strength training
* Functional movement
* Cardiovascular conditioning
* Mobility and recovery
* Real-world nutrition habits
* Accountability and mindset coaching

I don’t believe in punishment workouts.
I believe in teaching clients how to train smarter, move better, feel stronger, and regain confidence.

Most importantly:
I train real people.

Busy parents. Professionals. People recovering from burnout. Beginners intimidated by gyms. Clients navigating depression, anxiety, diabetes, weight struggles, and life transitions.

That means every program must be adaptable, sustainable, and personalized.

I also believe a trainer’s job is to create independence — not dependency.

My goal is not just to help clients lose weight or gain muscle.
My goal is to help them build the confidence and discipline to take ownership of their health for life.

Because at the end of the day:
Fitness isn’t just about aesthetics.

It’s about building a stronger human being.

I’ve also trained public figures, including Rachel from The Bachelor/Bachelor Pad, and have been featured in media outlets including Fox News, NBC, NY1, Mashable, and the New York Daily News.

Today, as Master Trainer Ortiz, my mission is bigger than workouts.

I’ve worked with a lot of trainers over the years, but training with Bryan was completely different. From day one, he actually listened. He didn’t throw me into some cookie-cutter workout or try to destroy me for social media content. He took the time to understand my goals, my schedule, my injuries, my stress levels, and what was realistically sustainable for my life. What separates Bryan from other trainers is that he truly cares about people. Yes, the workouts are intense and effective, but he also teaches you WHY you’re doing everything. I learned more about fitness, nutrition, recovery, and accountability in a few months with him than I had in years at commercial gyms. There were days I wanted to quit, and Bryan knew exactly when to push me and when to encourage me. He helped me build confidence not just physically, but mentally too. The results spoke for themselves: I got stronger Lost body fat Had more energy Felt more confident And most importantly, I built habits I can actually maintain You can tell this isn’t just a job for him. This is his passion and purpose. If you want someone who will genuinely invest in your success, hold you accountable, and push you to become a stronger version of yourself, Bryan is the real deal.
