About Heather
A fitness coach, personal trainer and Group X instructor with over 30 years of experience in fitness, I have learned there is no "One Size Fits All" fitness program because no two bodies are the same. Health and fitness is not about a number on a scale or a picture in a magazine. Fitness is about feeling good and being the best version of YOU. I create individual programs designed to meet the unique needs of my clients. My clients are BUSY and looking to make changes that make sense for their lifestyle. They LOVE the ease of virtual training. They can click on and off at work, home or vacation. They love learning health and wellness strategies that they can take with them for a lifetime. Growing up, I was never thin. Saddled with adjectives like thick, chunky and…fat, I learned to loathe my body from an early age. After years of over exercising and dieting, I was NOT healthy and certainly not FIT. Now, as a mother of 3, it is more important than ever to share what I have learned about body acceptance and self-esteem. I teach health and fitness strategies that people can practice for life. I want my children and my clients to love themselves and treat their bodies as the greatest gift ever given, because at the end of the day, your greatest asset is your health.
My favorite client story
My client came to me hunched over in a walker. She has Lupus and MS. Her doctor said she needed to work her core, but did not expect her to improve much in her stage of disease. We worked with her masseuse and chiropractor, and each session was a different challenge due to pain fluctuations, swelling changes and the transient nature of autoimmune disease. Through bands, tubing, stability balls and gentle training, she was able to stand up straight, get in and out of a chair without help, get up and down from the floor without help and improve over all mobility. Her dedication and grit inspire me every day. Her hard work led to her feeling like a different person physically and mentally. She's a rock star.
My favorite exercise
I love compound exercises. They are functional and efficiently transform your body.
My favorite quote
There is no perfect body type. We are perfectly imperfect.
My training philosophy
Meet every person where they are, and not the expectation of where they think they should be. I believe that success breeds success. Small changes make BIG results. Fitness is about being healthy at all stages of life and "fitness" is redefined at every age
