About Kasra

Hello! My name is Kasra “Kaz” Iranpour and I am a certified strength, conditioning, and rehab specialist at SMTF San Diego who specializes in rehab, functional strength training, and fat loss. I am originally from the Bay Area, born and raised in a small town of Martinez. I received my Bachelors in Health science, followed by my Masters of Exercise Physiology at San Jose State University. Part of my Masters program I created a lower back rehabilitation program to rehab numerous clients including myself who has suffered from severe herniated discs (L4-L5, L5-S1), and that ultimately sparked my passion for rehabilitation to supplement my training. I have been training for over 12 years and obtained certifications including the certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) with the NSCA, Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Performance Enhancing Specialist from NASM.

With over 12 years of experience in strength training, sports performance, and rehabilitative coaching, I provide high-level, fully individualized training, nutrition, and recovery programs for clients. I have worked with individuals ranging from high school athletes to Silicon Valley’s top professionals to retired individuals looking to improve their functional lifestyle. My approach blends evidence-based methods with practical lifestyle coaching, offering in-person sessions across the Bay Area as well as complete online programming for remote clients. I plan to bring what I provided in the Bay Area to the beautiful city of San Diego.

I’ve coached college-bound athletes in sport-specific development, hypertrophy, mobility, and SPARQ metrics, while also serving as a trusted performance coach for doctors, nurses, surgeons, lawyers, CEOs, and other elite professionals. Additionally, I work extensively with elderly clients, helping them regain strength, improve balance, reduce pain, and maintain independence through safe, structured training tailored to their needs.

Every training program is fully customized based on each client’s biomechanics, lifestyle, fitness goals, and injury history — supported by detailed biometric assessments including body fat percentage, posture analysis, blood pressure, and body measurements.
