About Amanda
Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m a trainer and psychotherapist who believes that no one reaches their goals alone. The guidance I received from others helped me build a life that once felt out of reach; I now aim to be that source of support for others as they train in ways that may feel intimidating at first. Together, we'll start with what's already working for you and make adjustments based on your time and energy demands outside the gym. I have three main values that shape my approach. 1. Trauma-informed: We don’t leave our past or current challenges at the door. Instead of using energy to shove emotions down, having the option to channel them into workouts is part of what helps my clients get results. Mental and physical health are interconnected, and you deserve training that reflects that. 2. Mind-body connection: I give information on the mechanics behind different movements and encourage you to listen to the feedback your body gives you. You set the pace that leaves you confident self-correcting your form between sessions. 3. Functional fitness: My role is support you in living a healthier lifestyle regardless of weight, mobility, or fitness level. Progress could mean anything from managing a health condition to learning self-defense to simply making exercise more enjoyable. Our consultation will explore the deeper reasons behind your interest in training.
