I'm Ann, self-employed certified Personal Trainer through National Academy of Sports Medicine. I am specialized in functional total body conditioning training; combining cardio, resistance and core exercises. The benefits of metabolic conditioning and resistance training in combination with a healthy diet have been proven: you create lean muscle, decrease body fat, get toned and lose weight. I am also specialized in pre- and post natal and senior exercise. I have been coaching for 9 years and have worked with people from different age groups and fitness levels. Since the pandemic started mid March, I immediately switched to virtual training and my people love it, and so do I! I am able to now also coach people from outside San Francisco where I live; some of my people moved out of the city but stayed with me and I got some new people from Europe. It's amazing how the pandemic created new opportunities! I had a sedentary life working in a corporate job and made a career switch in 2011. Therefore I perfectly understand the barriers we have combining the demands of a busy life with a healthy and active lifestyle. People always tell me my motivation and energy inspires them to go the extra mile and I am honored to be able to bring positivity into people's lives. My favorite client story
After giving birth, one of my clients thanked me for the resistance training workouts we did together when she was pregnant. During labor, which was long and painful, the nurse thought she was a professional athlete or a marathon runner ;-)
My favorite exercise
Burpees, Side Oblique Core Exercises and Triceps Exercises! It's hard to pick only one, better to work our body in its totality. If you are short in time and you only have 10min to squeeze in a workout, go do some burpees (they work your total body and you can do them slow as well without jumping), some core exercises working your side obliques (to target the muffin tops) and some Triceps dips. Done!
