Hello everyone! My name is Heather. My passion is to help you reach your health and wellness goals. I believe that the relationship between Coach and client is a very special one. Our initial session is dedicated to learning about what has and has not worked for you in the past, what you like about working out, and what you absolutely do not like. My goal is to create a workout plan you will enjoy. The only way to get results is if you are consistent, if your workout is enjoyable you will have a better chance of doing it on a regular basis. During our initial session we will do a few assessments that will help determine your cardiovascular starting point, I will determine if you have any muscle imbalances which will need to be addressed prior to getting into resistance training (if one of your goals is to build muscle mass).
My passion for health and wellness ignited over 20 years ago after reading Body for Life by Bill Phillips. Since then, I have been on a journey through the corporate world to finally realize that following my passion for fitness was what I really wanted to do. Since changing my career a couple years ago, I have lost 40 pounds and am in love with life! I understand the struggles of working out and staying in shape and have a unique ability of being present with my clients to authentically guide them towards their goals.
I received my BA in Psychology at JFKU, and then became a certified personal trainer from NASM (CPT) and in parallel obtained my health coach certificate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
