About Collin

Hi Everyone! My name is Collin Roland and I am a passionate Personal Trainer who has been training for over four years now. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and Certifications in Corrective Exercise and Sports Performance Training. I love to be in the outdoors hiking and climbing and just finished competing in an Ironman Triathlon Race! My training style is in Functional Fitness getting clients ready for anything life throws at them. Whether you want to get better at hiking, biking, swimming, weightlifting, or running; I can help you reach those goals! I also specialize in coaching those with physical or intellectual disabilities learn or re-learn how to use their bodies and helping them reach their fitness goals. This gives me the unique ability to scale exercise programs to fit clients' needs no matter their ability level! I’m excited to help you along on your fitness journey towards being the best you and getting in the best shape of your life! Let's do this!


My favorite client story

My favorite client story would have to be about the journey one client took to finally reach their fitness goals! He came to me wanting to run a Half Marathon Distance race, but had always been discouraged because of his lack of muscular strength and endurance. With a progressive program and some good hard work and consistent accountability help from me, we were able to get him to his goal within 6 months!! Not only just to finish the race, but to smash our initial goal time of 2:30:00 hours!! SO proud of him, and on to the next one!!

My favorite exercise

My favorite exercise is the burpee! It's so versatile and it coordinates most of the muscle groups in the body at once to perform this move correctly. Don't be daunted though, it's my favorite because it can be scaled up or down to meet any client's ability and fitness level!

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Collin. He’s laidback but very encouraging. The workouts we did were strenuous and fun. He gave me helpful/easy to remember tips to improve my form which I incorporated in daily activities which helped to eliminate some minor discomforts. Compared to what other trainers in the city charge he is very reasonable. I would without hesitation recommend Collin and by the way I’m 68.

At 47, when I met Collin for the first time, I was in the worst physical condition I had ever been in my life. I had no energy to do anything and no confidence in my body to do the things that I wanted to do. Session after session, Collin rebuilt my confidence. Following his lead, my stamina came back and bit after bit I stopped hating what I saw in the mirror. Today, I feel much more confident in my body. I still have a long journey ahead of me but I know that I am not alone and I can always turn to Collin if I am particularly proud of my achievements or if I am feeling down and demotivated.
