About Sean

For as long as I can remember I have been passionate about health and fitness. I have found fitness incredibly rewarding and equally interesting in my own health journey. My goal through fitness is to get as many people feeling good about themselves and comfortable and strong in their own bodies. I firmly believe that anybody can reap the rewards that movement has to offer with proper education and guidance. Using my 8+ years of experience in the industry, educational background and certifications, I help others achieve results and enhance movement patterns through a mix of corrective exercise protocols as well as proper strength and conditioning programming. To put it simply: I am “form focused” and quality-movement driven. This is what I offer you on your journey to a healthier life!

He's a wizard at targeting exercises, working around old injuries, and dynamically adjusting the workout based on our needs -- and he brings excellent communication skills and flexibility as well, helping us work around our fluctuating schedules and making sure we know what to focus on the rest of the week. I've thoroughly enjoyed working with Sean. My previous trainer gave me cookie-cutter plans that repeatedly included equipment I had let them know I didn't have access to. Sean in contrast has built routines for me that are aligned to my specific goals (injury prevention, mobility, cardio) and regularly checks in with me to see how I'm handling the load. I'm really enjoying these routines that combine "prehab"-style work with strength/beauty work!

Like many people, COVID really derailed my health goals and aspirations over the last year. I had gotten to a point in February 2021 where I felt I needed to get moving again and after doing some research I decided to go the personal training route--I connected with Sean for my fitness pursuits. The first session with Coach Sean was a great introduction to personal training. Looking back now, the first session really set a great foundation of what I could expect as I moved forward working with Coach Sean. Coach Sean spent most of the first session assessing my then-current levels of general mobility and fitness, documenting baselines and really understanding what I specifically was hoping to get out of personal training. My background prior to this was mostly with group fitness classes, and the thought of personal training was a little intimidating but throughout my first session, Coach Sean's professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to share that knowledge made me feel completely at ease. In the weeks since my first few sessions I have come to appreciate how data driven Coach Sean is, documenting my progress and using that information as he has programmed my training moving forward. Coach Sean has used the data gathered to challenge me in the best ways--he knows when I need to be pushed and pushes me, but never to the point where I've felt overwhelmed or like I might injure myself. Coach Sean is a stickler when it comes to form on each movement and makes sure I don't shortchange or cheat myself. Coach Sean also has a keen eye for noticing things to train that aren't readily apparent--for me that is my balance. He always makes sure we incorporate something that challenges me in that aspect. After my sessions with Coach Sean, I always feel better than when I walked in and always leave feeling like I accomplished something difficult. I am someone who likes to understand the 'why's' behind the things I am doing and Coach Sean has always been willing to breakdown the science behind any movement explaining what muscle I am working and why we are working that. I've never felt like I've asked a dumb question and Coach Sean always explains things where I can understand what we are doing. With Coach Sean's training, encouragement, and support I have seen measurable changes in my body composition and overall fitness levels. For maybe the first time ever, I feel like my fitness goals are attainable. Coach Sean keeps me accountable both in and out of the gym, checking in regularly on my overall diet as well as making sure that I am still moving on days that we aren't training. Overall, I highly recommend Coach Sean! Partnering with him has been the best decision I could have made for my health journey! I'm just upset I didn't start sooner! Thanks Coach Sean!

Sean is a fantastic trainer. If you don’t want to read the rest of this review, just book him, you won’t be disappointed. I was looking for a personal trainer in Seattle and having a hard time finding someone I thought was a good fit. A friend recommended him to me and I thought I’d start with a couple days a week. I have an old injury, with a torn meniscus, that means I need to be careful with working out. Sean built a fitness plan designed specifically for my needs. I was so impressed that I bumped my first week up to 4 sessions, and then decided to do 5 days a week after that. In just a few weeks I noticed results, both in the way I looked and felt. On top of that, Sean’s approach to fitness makes it fun and varied. Our workout sessions are something I look forward to every day and I plan on working with him for a long time. If you’re looking for a trainer you really can’t go wrong with Sean.

Sean is an exceptional trainer. His certifications along with his style help me get stronger while avoiding injury. Like many people, I have specific areas that I am trying to address and he listens to me and he understands my needs. He’s very personable, but is also demanding and pushes me to work hard, but not beyond my capabilities. He pays close attention to details and stays well informed in the fitness world and related fields like nutrition.

I provided Sean with some hefty issues; my weight gain and loss of mobility. While I could blame age and COVID, I realized I wasn't experiencing life in my body that I knew I could. He met the challenge by prescribing me just what I needed in terms of mobility and training plan. We started out simple and progressed each month. In the 6 months I've been working with Sean I have dropped 40lbs. While I remember "loving" the 4 mile walks, I came to appreciate them because I knew they were key to my weight loss. My mobility is back, weight is off, and now the challenge is how to stock my home gym with the bigger weights I can handle again. Love having Sean in my corner.
