About Josephine

I have been professionally training since 2003 but I coached my first exerciser as a freshman in highschool (1987) and taught my first fitness class in 1991. I joined was in the Navy from 92-97 and went through a series of ups & downs for the majority of my adult life; finally settling in the woman I am today after finding balance with my mind, soul and health. 

I was a success pioneer bikini competitor & commercial fitness model from 2005 to 2010. I'll never do that again! I hope I can convey my philosophies to woman so they understand that beauty is not about having a banging body; it's about being healthy, happy, grateful and in balance.  But trust me, I can kick your butt during these workouts.

• I’ve been Lissa’s psychologist…. For 5 years now.
• Annette had frozen shoulder and she can now hold her arm above her head.
• Robin has had 2 double knee replacements; I’ve got her deadlifting now.
• Lauri was recently forced off of Hypertension meds because they caused hypotension!
• Jimbo, age 78 and former VP of the New York Mets, sings to me at every session!
• Susans is off most of her medications and for the first time in her adult life, she can reach her shoe laces!

My favorite exercise

I love love love Pilates hip sequences to build and tone the booty. Nothing hurts so good as these! They look easy..... but they ain't!!

My training philosophy

Fitness should part of the wellness trilogy: healthy in mind, healthy in body and healthy in spirit. What is the point in having the ultimate fit body if you are not one bit happy?!?! Trust me... I have been there; having the perfect body will NOT bring you happiness unless your mind & soul are aligned.

My training experience

I have been in and out of gyms since I was 6 years old! I specialize in interval training with bodyweight and H.I.I.T. cardio as well. Certified Health-Fitness Instructor by the ACSM and certified personal trainer by NASM, NCCPT & ACT, Certified Senior Fitness and Master Training in qual. I have worked alongside some of Orange County's elite trainers at the prestige Sports Club LA and this is where I can honestly say I built my fitness knowledge base.

I have had the pleasure of training Hollywood producers, pageant queens, former Olympic competitive athletes, future IFBB pros, professional models, busy entrepreneurs, nightlife industry workers (VIP servers & bartenders whose jobs depend on their looks), wives of local celebrities and socialites, as well as military & police hopefuls, teachers, millionaires and billionaires and my favorite clients of all are success network marketers!!!

What can I say about trainer Jo!! She used to put on this boot camp 3 days a week, and I made sure to never miss a day! I had trainers before who were only interested in what they wanted for results. Jo listens to your needs and works with you to get where you want to be. 3 months later, my blood sugar is down, i am off two medications and have toned up. Those were my goals. Every workout is built on the last with encouragement and recognition of accomplishment. I am 60 years old, overweight, diabetic and have afib and Jo has made me feel like there is nothing i can't do. She is conscious of my health issues and considers them in my workout. I've gone from a couch potato to walking even days u am not at the gym and find myself doing squats while i do dishes. All because of Jo!
